Fun Things To Do With Younger Children*

    December 29, 2015 /

There are a lot of things that I have learnt since becoming a mother. There are two things that stand out to me, though. One is patience and knowing that one little person is completely dependent on me. It can be quite an overwhelming thought when I say it like that! The other thing that stands out to me is that time flies. It zooms by and I can hardly believe it. It doesn’t feel like long ago that I was pregnant, buying all sorts from the baby store and then bringing home my new baby. For a little bit of a sentimental post, I just thought I would share…

    Christmas Day 2015

    December 28, 2015 /

I’m sitting her still in shock that Christmas has been and gone for another year! All that planning and pre goes into one day, in what my mum claims to be the fastest day of the year, and I completely agree. I’d say I’m still recovering! My lounge looks like the Disney Store threw up in it but Little Miss is happily playing with her Doc Mobile Clinic and her Merida Bow & Arrows set as I write this. And hey, it’s only a month until I get to do it all again when she has her birthday! Because I’m not ready to give up on all things Christmas just…

    Christmas Eve 2015

    December 24, 2015 /

So I did it! I celebrated Blogmas 2015 with 24 Christmas related posts! Today is Christmas Eve and for me it’s one of the busiest days of the year. We’ve had cookies to bake, cleaning to do, then we spend the afternoon at my parent’s where I wrapped all my dad’s gifts and my sister’s gifts because like father like daughter they had left everything to Christmas eve. We also had our traditional Christmas disco and Chinease feast, something we started since the kids came along. I’ve also baked two cakes for dessert. Lets not forget the fact we also have all Little Miss Christmas eve traditions.. we had her…

    Little Miss’ Christmas Eve Box

    December 23, 2015 /

So tomorrow is the start of a very chaotic three days so tonight I’ve been chilling with a class of raspberry vodka & lemonade while watching Man Finds Food. I’ve also been clearning my phone memory and my memory cards so I’m ready to take as many photos as I can (or at least as I remember to). It really is the calm before the storm. One thing I’ve done this evening is put together Little Miss’ Christmas eve box, a tradition I started last year. On Christmas eve morning she’ll come down to find the above box filled with everything to get her Christmas off to a good start.…

Home Content // Personalising Your Home for Your Own Unique Life*

    December 23, 2015 /

I often find people make their home fit for someone else, rather than themselves. Shouldn’t your home reflect who you are and what you adore? Obviously it ought to! If you’re not certain how to communicate your life through your stylistic theme, here are a few of my thoughts that may give you the certainty you are looking for. Your Colour Hues and Combinations Try not to be too conservative — declare your most loved colours with a bit of dynamism and combine them beautifully – here are some great ideas from housetohome. Your bedrooms and bathrooms are perhaps the best places to get striking with your colour choices. Disregard…

    February Half-Term Break Ideas*

    December 22, 2015 /

Like most parents, I am a big believer in travelling with children. Not only is seeing new places exciting and enriching for them, but holidays are also perfect for family bonding. I love taking time out to take my daughter on vacation, but sadly, money can sometimes be an issue. However, like most parents, I do try to take her away at least once or twice a year. The key to success when organising the perfect family holiday is booking in advance. This is especially true when it comes to traveling during the school holidays, as the earlier you book, the more affordable it is. In case you fancy getting…
