    September 22, 2017 /

Greenhouses aren’t as popular as they used to be, are they? But they really are the perfect piece for serious growers as they allow them to make the most of the seasons. As well as experimenting with growing exotic plants and vegetables such as cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes that require moderate temperatures. Home Content // The 21st Century Garden: How to Make the Most of a Shrinking Space*

    September 20, 2017 /

Unfortunately for keen gardeners, the size of our green spaces is shrinking. Between 1982 and 2013, the average British garden shrunk from 168 m2 to 163.2 m2. That’s not all, it is also estimated that two million homes in Britain don’t have a garden, and by 2020 10.5% of all homes will not have a garden. Gardeners must become more innovative and imaginative in order to get the most of their small gardens. We have teamed up with Suttons Seeds, retailers of hanging baskets and other essentials for your garden, to explore how people are coping with their limited space. Home Gardening For those with small gardens or none at…

Doing London with AttractionTix Big 6 Ticket

    September 18, 2017 /

Before we headed off to Disneyland Paris last month, LM and I had a day exploring London thanks to AttractionTix. We also took over their Instagram stories for the day which was a lot of fun (until my battery died as we queued for the London eye!) AttractionTix had kindly sent us each their new London Big 6 Ticket, which I mentioned in a post last month, so we could visit some top attractions in the Capital. I’ve mentioned AttractionTix before, but in case you’re not up to speed they’re a great company that offer tickets to big attractions both in the UK and around the world including Disneyland, Walt…

10 Things That Make Me Inexplicably Happy

    September 16, 2017 /

This year has been rough. Between LM going to school full time, struggling financially and not going to Florida I’ve felt in a bit of a black hole and then I had a string of bad luck. My mental health has definitely taken a bit of a battering especially as I inch towards 30, I’m just not where I wanted to be and right now there isn’t much I can do about it. I’m just riding this year out and then fingers crossed once Florida is paid off I can look at what next. One of the things I’ve been doing is trying to focus on the things that do…

    #RoaldDahlDay Veruca Salt Cosplay

    September 15, 2017 /

On Wednesday it was Roald Dahl Day. What’s Roald Dahl Day? 13th September would have been the famed authors birthday and each year it’s celebrated as Roald Dahl Day, and this year would have been is 100th birthday making it extra special. Little Miss’ school celebrated a day late (as they all have PE on a Wednesday) but the children and teachers were all dressed up as characters from the books. My cousin is working there as a teacher and was dressed as Matilda, and her head teacher was dressed as Fantastic Mr Fox (although I think it was a missed opportunity for her to be Ms Trunchbull). Of course,…

Samsonite Frozen Nordic Summer Duffel Bag Review

    September 13, 2017 /

If you’re someone who likes to get away as much as possible like me, you’ll know there is nothing better than good luggage. Samsonite is a name you’d associate with good luggage, right? Our main short haul suitcase is this beautiful Minnie Mouse case by Samsonite that I absolutely adore and it’s made travelling to and from Disneyland Paris so much easier. This week we added another piece of Samsonite Disney luggage to our collection, this time in the form of Frozen. You know me, I’m pretty much over Frozen, LM on the other hand is not. She still loves Anna, the songs and loves when she sees Kristoff in…
