The Great British Cupcakery Launch Night
Last week I was invited by the really lovely Sarah to a cupcakery launch night in Newcastle. I had only met her once back in April at The Body Shop event but we’d hit it off so I jumped at the chance. My mum agreed to have Little Miss to give me a night off to drink cocktails, eat cake and hang out with some girls my own age instead of being sat at home with a bottle of cider watching Revolution with my parents. The cupcakery in question is The Great British Cupcakery – Bakehouse & Parlour which is situated on Queens Street down by the Quayside in Newcastle.…

#154 Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen Products Review
Tonight i’m reviewing some products by what I can only describe as one of my favourite beauty brand finds of 2013. I had heard a few people rave about Granny Sally’s Soap Kitchen so when I received my Birmingham Blogger Meet goodie bag I was over joyed to find some samples in here and I gave using them priority status simply after the first sniff. I had taken my own photos of the products but in typical Amy style, I’ve miss placed them. I headed straight to twitter to have a bit of a moan about it as I really wanted to review them and Granny Sally’s were kind enough…

#153 Recipe No.11 Potato Salad with Bacon
So my bestie Bee and our friend group have a theory, actually it’s become more of a life philosophy, that everything is better with bacon. I decided to test this theory by taking one of my summer favourites (I can eat this by the bowl full with a glass of white wine on the side) and topping it with some smoked bacon. Like with the salad I posted last month, I don’t really claim this to be a recipe that takes great skill, but damn it is good. If I make potato salad it’s usually to go with barbeque food or even simply just chicken skewers done on the grill,…

Purity Organic Skincare Products Review
I’m really struggling with blogging at the moment due to tiredness. Having my daughter in my bedroom while we wait for a house when she’s sixteen months old is not something I’d wish on my worst enemy. She wakes 5-6 times a night, sometimes every hour to have a “chat” with me and if I ignore her she screams the place down or throws things at me. I’ve tried sleeping on the couch but it gave me a bad back. It’s really affecting my day to day life and more worryingly I have exams coming up. Anyway, that’s why my blog might appear lack lust at the moment. I tried…

#144 Where Amy Ate – Hard Rock Cafe, Edinburgh
Last week I was invited by the lovely Lesley up to the Hard Rock Cafe in Edinburgh for a bite to eat. So I caught a train up today as my mum is on holiday to babysit. This is probably one of my most exciting invites I’ve had as a blogger. I have been a long time fan of the Hard Rock Cafe thanks to my dad. I’ve been lucky enough to visit not only the Edinburgh restaurant, but also the one in London, New York and Orlando. My dad is a massive rock music fan so he’s been taking us to eat here since my sister and I were…
