Tune Hotels, Newcastle Review
Last week I received and exciting email inviting me to review a hotel. Now we all know how much I love travelling, so clearly I was going to accept, even if this hotel was only 40 minutes down the road. Having just opened last Wednesday, the Newcastle branch of Tune Hotels now stands in the Grade II Listed Proctor House near the Quayside. Tune Hotels are a fairly new concept to this country. Newcastle is one of only 7 in the UK, and one of only 2 outside London, Tune Hotels believe in “a great night’s sleep, at a great price” (found here). So yesterday afternoon Little Miss and I…

Outfit of the Day – That Smile I Lost, Well I’ve Found Somehow
I have been so lax on the outfit front so when my beautiful Blue Vanilla skirt arrived I just knew I had to make an effort to blog about it. So today was a bit sunny and a bit rainy but I thought, what the heck? I have an umbrella. So out I went. Only to my back garden though… Intergalactic Starlight Crown £10, Crown & Glory Miss Selfridge Leather Jacket (as seen here), Vinted Black Basic Top (ancient, similar here), H&M Live & Love Necklaces £4 each, Charmed Ivy Umbrella (belongs to my mum) Giovana Double Layer Skirt* £24, Blue Vanilla Trasparenze Gennifer Merino…

Ariel iPhone 6 Case by OnlyCases
Ariel iPhone 6 Case £10.15, Etsy Finally this morning my new iPhone 6 case arrived and I’m so in love with it that I simply had to share it tonight. I got my iPhone the day they were released last month. I had an iPhone 5 that had slowly started to function less about July, pretty much to the week it was due for an upgrade. I’d had it two years and it had taken a good battering as phones belong to mothers of children do. And the fact, I’m clumsy. Even though I was due an upgrade in July, I decided to wait it out for new model, and…

The Cold Never Bothered Her Anyway..
I remember being a kid and every new Disney movie that was released, my sister and I made it a point to learn every single lyric from it. We were Disney kids, so it’s natural that our children are heading in the same direction. Aside from Tinker Bell & The Pirate Fairy (which is currently in my wardrobe waiting for Christmas) the only other classic Disney animation movie that has been released within Little Miss’ living memory is Frozen. Yes she loves Tangled, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Ratatouille, Toy Story (all three) and her newest favourite The Princess & the Frog, but Frozen is her favourite. Maybe it’s because it’s everywhere,…

Where Amy (And Little Miss) Ate – Maisies Chocolate Parlour and Crêperie
It’s been a while since I did a Where Amy Ate, but since Little Miss and I have eaten in the same place two weeks in a row I figured I should definitely feature it. I never normally feature anything from my home town, but this place is just too good. Maisies Chocolate Parlour and Crêperie, hidden under the Town Hall in all it’s original features glamour is the new place to go for a treat. At least in our house anyway. If Little Miss is very good while in town before heading home we call in here for some chocolatey goodness. Brilliantly priced for something that is very unique…

Shopping Spotlight – Funky Laser
We all know I’m a fan of the acrylic accessories right? Tatty Devine and Sugar & Vice often make an appearance on wishlists and I already own a couple of pieces from the first. So obviously I was pretty excited when I made a new acrylic discovery on Facebook who were also looking for people to review their new Christmas range. I had to get in there, and as you can see, I was incredibly lucky and I’m not the proud owner of some gorgeous Christmas themed bits. So today, I’m shining my shopping spotlight on Funky Laser. Funky Laser is a British based company that not only creates fantastic…
