My Eight Favourite Toys for 0-2 Year Olds
LINKS REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE My daughter has a lot of toys, in fact.. that’s probably the understatement of the century. And yes, a lot of these are pink, but that’s because pink is her favourite colour. I am not one of these who sees toys as girls toys and boys toys, I tend to buy my daughter things I know she will enjoy. However saying that, I also see nothing wrong with girls liking pink and dolls, and princesses.. I like pink and dolls and princesses so I see that more as a reason why my daughter does not because I’ve forced her to be like…

The Cold Never Bothered Her Anyway..
I remember being a kid and every new Disney movie that was released, my sister and I made it a point to learn every single lyric from it. We were Disney kids, so it’s natural that our children are heading in the same direction. Aside from Tinker Bell & The Pirate Fairy (which is currently in my wardrobe waiting for Christmas) the only other classic Disney animation movie that has been released within Little Miss’ living memory is Frozen. Yes she loves Tangled, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Ratatouille, Toy Story (all three) and her newest favourite The Princess & the Frog, but Frozen is her favourite. Maybe it’s because it’s everywhere,…

Bye Bye Bambi – Turning the Nursery into a Toddler’s Room*
One of the reasons I have been a lot quieter than usual on the blog, and I’ve been sharing guest posts is because I have the decorating bug. It’s not the only reason, there is a reason that’s a lot more “sinister” but I’m not ready to share it on here yet. I currently have two projects on the go, my staircase and Little Miss’ bedroom. Although I’m not doing much “decorating” I am giving it a bit of an overhaul, turning it from a nursery into a bedroom fit for a two year old. It’s only half complete but I thought I’d give you all a sneak peak before…

Puddle Pug by Kim Norman Review
It’s very rare that I ever get asked to review something for Little Miss since I’m not exclusively a parenting blogger & I don’t share a million photos of my beautiful child. So when the chance came along to review a new book for children, this wasn’t an opportunity I was going to turn down. “Percy the Pug loves puddles: big puddles, small puddles, swamp puddles, stomp puddles. But no puddle is perfect, until he finds one with three friendly piglets. But protective Mama Pig says NO PUGS and chases Percy away! Irresistibly illustrated by Keika Yamaguchi, Kim Norman’s tale about a persistent pug and his pursuit of friendship in…

The Perfectly Honest Single Parent Post
Hi my name is Amy and I’m a single mother. I have a two year old daughter from a previous (domestic abusive) relationship and she has nothing to do with her father. I am not just a single mother, I’m a sole parent. I make all the decisions in regards to how my child is raised and I also am the only person who sets rules and boundaries. My daughter attends nursery five hours a week. Aside from that, she is with me. In the blogging world it appears to be frowned upon to admit your child is anything less than perfect. Like with everything in life as far as…

Top Travel Tips for Disneyland Paris with a Toddler
This is my final post about Disneyland Paris, honest. I have been back for well over a month now and I still have the Disney blues, well maybe not the blues, more like the Disney obsessive. Not just me but Little Miss even talks in her sleep about it so I am definitely going to miss having a reason to write about it. Oh well, only nine months TODAY until our next Disney holiday! It’s become a great source of bribery for good behaviour and potty training though haha, Anyway, no more potty talk! Today’s post is about some helpful hints and tips I got from visiting the parks and…
