Outfit of the Day – Believing Is Just The Beginning
One of my more blog related resolutions was to post more outfit and fashion related posts. Fashion so far on the blog has mainly consisted of wishlists and style icons rather than focusing on my own personal style which was something I had wanted to focus on when I started Cocktails in Teacups. Now that I have my own home again and I have somewhere with half decent light to take photos, even if it is the kitchen, I have no excuse really not to do outfit posts. Well apart from the days I have crippling low self esteem, which sadly still happens on more days than I would like.…

Hello 2014
Credit We’re now on the other side of the new year and if like me, you suffer from anxiety, you know the new year will look like a big black hole. I saw the new year in on my own and although it wasn’t by far the worst new year I’ve ever had, it wasn’t pleasant. I ended up having a panic attack before going to sleep. It was awful. And that’s when I decided things have to change. I know a lot of people don’t like the whole “new year, new me” thing. But in my case, things have to change to give me a better value of life.…

Insta-Month December
The storm damage to my gate // Night out in Lincoln // #ChristmasJumperDay 2013 Naked 3 Palette // The Harry Potter graffiti on the toilet wall in The Elephant House // Reaching 500 Bloglovin’ followers Christmas Eve // Some of Little Miss’ gifts // Seeing The Hobbit The highlights were…Christmas of course, especially Christmas eve and Christmas morning. Going to Lincoln Christmas market & seeing my best friend Bee. Seeing my other two besties Jess and Kariss and having a really awesome night out! Probably the best one (out of the four i’ve had ha) this year. Having my friend from the US come and stay for a few days.…

Ho Ho Homicide – A Christmas Murder Mystery
So normal people have nights out in all their glitz and glam for Christmas, the friendship group I’m part of like to get together and dress up. I much prefer this. Everyone (should) reaches an age where going out and getting plastered at Christmas doesn’t appeal anymore, my little sister reached it on Boxing Day where she lasted 10 minutes in the nightclub before heading home to her boyfriend and puppy, and even though everyone drinks at these gatherings (and sometimes I get a bit silly after a bottle of wine and make a fool of myself still) it’s not to the extent of days gone by. Last Saturday I…

It’s True Wherever You Find Love, It Feels Like Christmas
Can you believe that Christmas is over already for another year?! No.. neither can I! All that preparation and stress and it’s over in a blink. I would go back and do the whole of December again if I could. The build up was so enjoyable this year. Little Miss was at a wonderful age where she understood exactly what was going on and Christmas morning was my favourite time this year. I didn’t mind at all it being just the two of us. In fact, it made it all the more perfect. Little Miss was spoiled rotten by everyone who knows us and my friends clearly proved them know…

Another Public Service Announcement of Sorts
Evening & a very merry six sleeps until Christmas to all my readers! As you can see above I’ve decided to take a small hiatus from blogging. This is not a blogging black out, there will be sporadic life related posts over the festive period but I will not be actively around from tonight until into the New Year. I do not feel like I should apologise for this. After having the worst year of my life I want to dedicate this period to spending time with my family and friends. Those who have helped me carry on this year when I’ve felt I could not. After the last two…
