The Wanderlust Tag

I really enjoyed this tag that Leona posted on her blog Oh! Leona this afternoon and I decided since 2014 is hopefully going to be my Year of Wanderlust (see my Hello 2014 post) it seemed like a nice idea to share it. Please let me know if you take part as it would be nice to link you up.
All photos in this post are my own. Enjoy!

1. Your most treasured passport stamp?
I currently have none as I only got a new passport last year and the only place I visited was France. These days you don’t get a stamp when visiting the EU. On my old passport I had two stamps from when I visited the US.

2. Can you recite your passport # from memory if asked?
No I can’t. Maybe by the end of this year when I’ve had some more adventures I’ll be able to.

3. Preferred method of travel; planes, trains or automobiles?
I love flying. Well, that’s not 100% true as I hate taking off and landing but I do love the idea of flying and once i’m in the air. I love going away via plane and I love being in an airport. I actually like flying by myself and I’m looking forward to doing so later on this year.

4. Top 3 travel items?
Camera. I take my camera everywhere and try to photograph as much as possible even if i’m just off to visit friends in another city. Mobile phone, more because I go to a lot of places by myself, I need to have a way of getting in touch should I get lost. Toothbrush, pretty self explanatory, huh?

5. Hostel or hotel?
As a rule of thumb, hotel. But the hostel that I stayed in while in Paris was wonderful! I’d be more than happy to stay in another St Christopher’s hostel and thankfully a lot of places I want to visit have one or two available. I’d recommend St Christopher’s as a chain to anyone!

6. Are you a repeat visitor or do you explore new places?
Both. I love going to new places and exploring but I like to have done my research extensively before I go. I do however like to go back to places that hold happy memories me. I’m hoping to visit New York for the third time later on this year for a few days and I definitely hope to return to Disney World in Florida when Little Miss is a little older.

8. Favourite travel website?
I don’t have one although I do always book my holidays online. I tend to just google whoever is the cheapest.

9. Where would you recommend a friend to visit? Name city & why.
New York. It’s just an experience I think everyone should have. It’s an amazing city, so much to do and see and well I’m a sucker for yankee food! There or Paris. Again, another city I feel you have to experience once in your life. I’d love to one day take my mother to see the Eiffel Tower because I’d feel sad that she’d lived her life without every seeing it.

10. You’re leaving tomorrow, money is no option, where are you going?
Canada. Vancouver specifically, and we wouldn’t be coming back. Yes I’d love to go to Australia and see more of the US but if money was no object then Little Miss and I would be packing our bags and heading to live in Canada. It just looks like a really great way of life without the terrifying wildlife!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Love this tag – I have such a bad case of wanderlust so I might do this too!
Great choice on Vancouver – I visited last year with my family and loved it, it actually wasn’t quite as good as I expected from a tourist point of view but as a place to live I think it would be wonderful.
