LM’s Library Books, Week One
As promised, I’m going to be sharing what books we’ve picked up at the library for our bedtime stories each week. LM joined the library as part of our Summer Bucket List since this year is the first time I’ve had her off for the full 6 weeks so I was looking for free things to do. Our library is great with a nice big play area and colouring tables to keep her busy if I just want to have a sit down. Every week we go and pick 7 books, one for each night of the week! Although we are now into our 3rd week of summer, this was…

Little Miss Cosplays, Part One
As you all know, I like to cosplay, specifically Disney cosplay. But what you may not know, is Little Miss also likes to cosplay. Especially around the Disney parks. We have amassed a fair amount of different dresses to wear in September to Walt Disney World and October to Disneyland Paris so I’m going to try and share my favourites. We are incredibly blessed to have met some wonderful people who make beautiful handmade outfits for Little Miss, which I’m so thankful for since I can barely sew a button. Although we were gifted some of these, they are available to buy and I have included links. However, none of…

Fun Outdoor Activities to Try this Summer with Kids*
We’re just starting the third week of the summer holidays and according to my mum, the hot weather it on it’s way (I’ll believe it when I see it) so I’m still hanging onto my plans to try and do as much as possibly outdoors with Little Miss. I have a huge list of some ideas I have and I thought i’d share these with you today. Please let me know if you have anymore! Go for a picnic One of the simplest activities…

Picnicking with Primula Dips
Hasn’t summer just been dreadful? However, on Friday we managed to get out for our first picnic of the year. We filled a basket and headed to The Alnwick Gardens. Although it was spitting on rain we weren’t deterred and set up camp on a big patch of grass opposite a beautiful fountain. We weren’t the only family, in fact there were a lot of young families with similar set ups, a picnic blanket and food from home. This is something we do try to do fairly often as it saves so much money and you can take home anything not eaten. This is so important when you have littlies,…

How to Make Your Bedroom Truly Unique*
Since when did our bedrooms become beige washouts? Don’t get me wrong, beige can be lovely (and so can Chinese lantern shades/IKEA desks etc.), but perhaps it’s time for something a little more exciting, and a little less run of the mill. As part of my escape from my mediocre bedroom, I’ve been looking at ways to bring some individuality and character back into my favourite place in the house. Bespoke bed Whatever style or size of your bedroom; your bed is the focus of the room, right? A custom made bed may seem a bit extravagant, but considering nearly a third of our lives are spent sleeping, why not…
