Learning about Lending Works
We all have those times where we’re a little bit strapped for cash. Maybe you’ve been paid late, or an unexpected bill, or maybe you stupidly turned all your money into dollars a week before your holiday meaning you had nothing to live on for that week… Oh wait, that’s just me.. And this is where Lending Works come in to help, finding you a loan with a better rate than you would find if you went through a bank. Firstly a little background information. Lending Works was started in 2012 by Nicholas Harding and Matthew Powell, both of which come from a background in money. In 2015 the company…

LM’s Library Books, Week 2
Carrying on with our library visits as part of our summer bucketlist, last time LM convinced me into 9 books with a total of 10 stories (one book had 2 stories in, meaning two nights worth of reading). Plus I was away two nights meaning it’s been a while since our last trip to the library. Each book is stamped for a month and since we can take 15 books (I know, right?) I see no sense in going back until we’ve read all the ones we have at home. So we finally took another trip on Friday before we met Bee & her daughter’s off the train. So we…

Travel Content // Excellent Ideas for Family Holidays Everyone Will Enjoy*
When I plan my family holidays, I have to get organised well in advance. Choosing a holiday that’s suitable for both me and my daughter isn’t easy. I have to think about her first, but try and fit in some things I want to see and do too. It’s a family holiday, after all, not a kids’ holiday! Some parents struggle to find a balance where both the children and parents get to have their own fun. Mums and dads love spending time with our children. But it doesn’t mean we want to spend the whole time riding roller-coasters. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of family-fun parks and…

My Top Tips For Creating Your Daughter A Bedroom That She’ll Love*
When it comes to designing your daughter a new bedroom, it can be hard to choose the perfect design. Should you opt for fairies and princesses, or should you go for a design that’s more neutral? As parents, we don’t want to surround our children by gender stereotypes, we want our children to make their own decisions. Pink used to be for girls and blue used to be for boys, but today, that’s all changed. While some girls do love castles and princesses, others love playing with diggers and trucks, every little girl is different. That’s why, when it comes to creating your little one a bedroom she’ll love, it’s…

Regenerate Enamel Science – First Impressions
I’m just going to all out say it, I’m afraid of the dentist. Not just afraid, but petrified. I had a really bad experience as a child and teen (and it’s not surprising since my Orthodontist has actually been struck off for making some terrible mistakes as far as his patience have been concerned.) I have large teeth and a tiny mouth, which of course lead to some crazy problems, that’s treatment has left me mentally scarred. But I won’t lie, I would love a movie star smile.. But who wouldn’t? Although I did have braces, they weren’t put on properly or for long enough leaving my teeth still pretty…

Where Amy Ate – NYC Bar & Grill, Bawtry
Although my main reason for a child free weekend at Bee‘s was to go to SFCC when she posted about visiting NYC Bar & Grill last week I really wanted to go! With it’s New York theming, fantastic burgers and delicious looking cocktails Bee didn’t take any convincing into a girls dinner on the Friday I was there. It has been YEARS since the two of us went out for dinner together just the two of us, I think the last time was probably when we went to London together when I was 20! Nowadays we always have at least one or all three of our kids, or sometimes Bee’s…
