Lifestyle Content // How Much Sleep Do You Need?*
Just like food and water, a good night’s sleep is imperative to your health. Too little sleep causes your immune system to weaken and concentration to fade, while making it more likely for you to be irritable and even depressed. On the other hand, too much sleep is linked to depression and a host of physical ailments. So how much sleep, at what stage of life, is enough? Make Sleep a Priority Throughout life, sleep should be viewed as a necessity rather than luxury. Set your sleep quarters up accordingly, with sufficient curtains, and a lack of clutter. Even children require a mattress to support their tiny bodies, so make…

Home Content // Thinking About Spring*
Although we are now in the middle of winter it doesn’t stop me looking forward to Spring. Spring is my favourite season, I love seeing everything come alive after the winter and the greenery returning to my hometown. And of course, my birthday is in Spring. Thinking about Spring is a must if you have a garden, especially if you plan on growing produce which is something I do. Getting your garden ready for growing fruit and veg can start as early as the Autumn so you do have to make sure you do your research. My mum is very green fingered and we do try to get Little Miss…

Sing Along Elsa Review*
Last week Santa Claus paid an early visit to Little Miss! Because she’d been so good this year, Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves left a little present under the tree for LM as a special extra. She was so excited to find it was the Sing Along With Elsa doll she’d recently seen on the TV! I was actually sent the doll to review and as I don’t believe in giving LM big presents for no reason, it seemed a good idea to have it come early from Santa Claus. She really has been an angel this year and I do believe in regarding good behavior, however I didn’t…

Our Local Christmas Market
Today was the day of our local Christmas Market. I always try to support it but it really is nothing compared to the ones in the cities (which I really miss visiting). However after the family drama yesterday it was so nice for LM and I to get some time ourselves with my parents and LM truly enjoyed the attention from Nanny and Grandad. We were all wrapped up due to it being so cold but we spent a couple of hours enjoying the stalls and LM met Santa Claus again. I took my camera in hopes of getting some good photos but my fingers were numb after 10 minutes!…

Relaxing Over Christmas
Lets face it, Christmas is the craziest time of year, especially for parents (or those working in catering or retail) as there is so much going on. It’s the one month of year my bestie and I fail to talk more than once or twice a week due to being so busy with Christmas prep. As a mother of a school or even pre-school age child there is always something going on. Last week we had a visit to Santa Claus and LM’s Christmas party. This week we have Christmas market, LM is going to a dance show of the class she’s starting in January, end of term and so…

A Christmas Night in with Primula
I know Christmas is supposed to be the season for the whole “Party Up” kinda thing (if you’ve ever been to Magic Kingdom and watched Move It Shake It you’ll have just got that reference and I hope you smiled). But as a single mother with no friends in my home town, it means I actually do no partying at all. In fact, I don’t remember the last time I had a night on the town.. how sad? But just because I’m stuck in doesn’t mean I can’t kick back, relax and feel the Christmas vibes. In fact, now that Little Miss is a little person rather than a baby,…
