Wow, can you believe Easter is over already? I know it was super early this year but it’s still a big mile stone point to pass. It’s also apparently Spring but I’m not sure where that’s at given we had snow the other day and today is thick mist and rain. The #DayOutForAll Campaign – Alnwick Gardens*
Being a single mother (wow I say that a lot) means I spend a lot of time with my parents and immediate family. I moved back home so I could have help while Little Miss was a baby, and I’m staying for the time being so members of my family can have her in their life. What We Did for Easter 2017
I can’t believe that’s Easter over with, the next time a term ends LM will have finished her first year at school! The Easter holidays seemed to last forever, probably because we managed to cram so much into two weeks, including LM having the dreaded chicken pox for 7 of those days (technically 9 as she had two days without spots). Now she’s been back a day the holidays feel like they never happened. Crazy huh? Hello Five!
On Saturday Little Miss turned five! I’m not sure why but five seems a lot older than four! Maybe it’s because she’s at school now, or has almost lost her third tooth, or just the fact she really is no longer a baby. She is starting to read and write and is completely independent as far as dressing and undressing herself, brushing her hair, teeth and feeding herself. She really is a big girl now. Unlike last year I didn’t find done to do a pre-birthday photo shoot and put together a post because she was at school and then in the evening I had a cake and balloon disaster…

Christmas Day 2016
Even though it’s been over 2 weeks since the big day, I still feel like I should put together a post about our Christmas Day. Of course the Christmas season was completely different to the one I’d imagined earlier on in the year and sadly now it’ll forever live in shadow of a break up. But we did the best we could with what we had and I know by putting on a brave face Little Miss had a wonderful day.
