5 Fun Things We Did in London, May 2017

The weekend before we headed off to Disneyland Paris for a few days, Little Miss and I spent some time in London. This is the second time this year we’ve spent time in our capital city and I think LM loves it more with each visit. This time we had Saturday, Sunday and Monday there and although some of our time was spent with friends, we did have some time to please ourselves and explore. I’m hoping to head back during the summer to do some more exploring. Today I’m sharing 5 of the things we got up to during our visit this time, it seemed better than doing a…

    Our Easter 2017 Plans

Today the Easter holidays start at Little Miss school! I can’t believe it’s been a whole term since LM went back after Christmas and now she only has one term left of her first year at school, that’s scary. But before I think about that, I have her at home for two whole weeks and we have so much planned! I’m sure because we do have so much planned it’s going to fly by but at least I know we’ll have lots of fun, fingers crossed we get some good weather for it. Anyway today, before I head along to LM’s end of term assembly, I thought i’d share some…

    Fairytale Trail at Alnwick Gardens

Last week my sister and I decided to brave the weather (there had been heavy showers every day for days so we hadn’t managed to do anything), pack up a picnic and head down the road to Alnwick Gardens. The children’s centre my cousin works at had secured us complimentary tickets which was great news as the gardens can be an expensive day out. However if we had paid I wouldn’t have been disappointed, especially with the Fairytale Trail they currently have on. We didn’t really know what to expect as we’d both only visited the castle when we were kids.. we were thinking some grass and some flowers but…

#181 Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

From my front door I can see the sea. To some people this is such an amazing thing but I grew up in a village on the sea front and it did have a lot more cons than pros. For starters, it wasn’t always sunny. I live on the North East coast right next to Scotland which means even in the height of summer it’s often pretty cool, windy and we’ve even been known to have a thick covering of fog on the days the weather man claims everywhere else is enjoying the hottest day of the year! Also, the smell. That salty smell is not something you want…

#176 A Picnic in the Country

As part of my blog post jiggle up, I’ve decided to share more life posts, although not to the extend that you’ll see much of my little one, sadly. I’m currently seeing a councilor to help with my anxiety and insecurity, and on their recommendation I’m doing new things, keeping busy and avoiding the mundane. I need to keep busy so I don’t dwell on the way he made me feel or have time to worry about things. Thankfully my sister has been an angel at keeping me focused while my parents have been away. We’ve come up with a list of things we want to do over the summer…
