    Hot Topic Haul September 2014

    October 5, 2014 /

ALL LINKS REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE I’m kinda going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment which makes me sort of shy away from my blog. When I come out the other end I may even write about it.. That’s what I usually do anyway. You may have to bare with me and my sporadic uninteresting posts for a wee while until I get my head straight. So this evening, because I have nothing better to do, I’m sharing my Hot Topic haul with you all. No this isn’t what I bought while out in the US back in August, this is the one…

The Cold Never Bothered Her Anyway..

    October 3, 2014 /

I remember being a kid and every new Disney movie that was released, my sister and I made it a point to learn every single lyric from it. We were Disney kids, so it’s natural that our children are heading in the same direction. Aside from Tinker Bell & The Pirate Fairy (which is currently in my wardrobe waiting for Christmas) the only other classic Disney animation movie that has been released within Little Miss’ living memory is Frozen. Yes she loves Tangled, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Ratatouille, Toy Story (all three) and her newest favourite The Princess & the Frog, but Frozen is her favourite. Maybe it’s because it’s everywhere,…

I also enjoyed going to the Food & Beer Festival at the start of the month, and I was also chosen as the first winner of Cake That! Also Cocktails in Teacups turned…

Bye Bye Bambi – Turning the Nursery into a Toddler’s Room*

    September 28, 2014 /

One of the reasons I have been a lot quieter than usual on the blog, and I’ve been sharing guest posts is because I have the decorating bug. It’s not the only reason, there is a reason that’s a lot more “sinister” but I’m not ready to share it on here yet. I currently have two projects on the go, my staircase and Little Miss’ bedroom. Although I’m not doing much “decorating” I am giving it a bit of an overhaul, turning it from a nursery into a bedroom fit for a two year old. It’s only half complete but I thought I’d give you all a sneak peak before…

    Affordable and Minimally-Invasive Anti-Aging Treatments*

    September 26, 2014 /

There are those who believe that aging is a privilege. That every line, wrinkle, spot and blemish is a badge of honor for a life not only survived, but well-lived – smiles smiled, tears cried, obstacles overcome, and hours and love and joy in the sun. While the “age gracefully and naturally” crowd might have a point, that philosophy, like any philosophy, doesn’t necessarily work for everyone. For some of us, aging is something to be avoided at all costs, and any visible signs of aging must be beaten mercilessly into submission. So, if you fancy yourself Ruth Gordon a la Harold and Maude, by all means age gracefully. For…
