Fun Outdoor Activities to Try this Summer with Kids*
We’re just starting the third week of the summer holidays and according to my mum, the hot weather it on it’s way (I’ll believe it when I see it) so I’m still hanging onto my plans to try and do as much as possibly outdoors with Little Miss. She spends way too much time playing indoors due to cold weather or because we’ll be heading out to pre-school at some point in the day. I have a huge list of some ideas I have and I thought i’d share these with you today. Please let me know if you have anymore! Go for a picnic One of the simplest activities…

Our Favourite Bedtime Stories
Today we crossed the first thing off our Summer Bucket List. We caught the bus into town and LM joined the library. As well as that I allowed her to pick 7 books (we could have up to 20 each!) one for each night of the week. Each week I’ll be sharing our thoughts on the books in a post of it’s own. As we haven’t read any of the books yet, I decided to kick off Little Miss’ summer of stories with ten of our favourite children’s books. Five chosen by Little Miss and five chosen by myself. First up, LM’s favourite stories; We’re All Going on a Bear…

Our Summer Bucket List*
Today is the first day of the six weeks summer holidays. I have been both dreading and feeling incredibly excited about this holiday. It’s LM’s first time ever being off for the whole lot since the past two years we’ve paid for her to attend pre-school but now because she’s on funding she doesn’t get anything towards her time there. The first two weeks are especially daunting because my parents are out of the country and I rely on my mum a lot, even just for adult company. So, to keep us going I’ve put together a bucket list for the summer with things we can do together (not including…

Collecting Tsum Tsums*
Little Miss is now at the age where she’s starting to notice and take interest in the latest crazes. Especially if they’re Disney related. If you’re a Disney fan you’ll know all too well about Tsum Tsums.. Little Disney inspired Japanese created bean toys. Yes, it’s the new version of the Beanie Babies craze.. something I know all too well having had a ridiculous amount of both TY and Disney beanies. They have been out in Japan for a while, then they spread to the States and now they’re here. They’re available in both Clintons and The Disney Store, £3 for the small ones, £10 for the medium and £20…

I Am The Mum Who…
It’s very rare I write about being a mother and what kind of a mother I am, I try to limit as much information about my daughter as possible on this public domain, mainly because her father doesn’t deserve to know what kind of a child she is. So instead I’ve decided to share what kind of a mum I am, because without a doubt motherhood is the greatest adventure I’ve embarked on so far in my life. I am the mum who… – was told I was having a boy and was going to name him Charlie. – always wanted to be a mother. – is complete rubbish at…

5 Ways I Know My Daughter is No Longer a Baby*
I’m twenty seven with a now three year old daughter. I have to tell myself this on a daily basis because I still find it hard to believe. Because it’s just LM & I (and of course Elsa) I still very much think of Little Miss as my baby but over the past few months I’ve noticed the baby characteristics disappearing one by one and I’m left with a very beautiful and independent little girl. As much as I love her developing personality, I fear that soon she’ll not need me as much as she has and I’ll have nothing else. I’m sure I’m not the only mum to ever…
