Easter Crafting for Kids with Hobbycraft
Easter Craft Pack c/o Hobby Craft Felt Bunny Baskets c/o Hobby Craft Little Miss insisted we donate the blue one to her cousin. Not because blue is for boys, but because pink is her favourite colour. As I mentioned in my blog post about activities to keep your children busy over Easter, crafting was one of my suggestions. This was based on the fact I had this Easter activity kit hidden away to do on some rainy afternoon, and that rainy afternoon ended up being today. Hobbycraft kindly sent me some bits and pieces from their Easter range, these along with some stuff I’d also picked up from…

To My Daughter, Love Forever
Today, as everyone in the UK is aware, is Mothering Sunday, or simply Mothers Day. This is my third as a mother, and second as a blogger. I do still very much think of mothers day in regard to my own mum. Yesterday my aunt told me to “enjoy your day tomorrow” and it took me a good few seconds to realise she was talking about the fact I’m a mum and it’s my day as much as my own mums day. I think part of this is to do with the fact I don’t have an other half to make it special for me and my own daughter isn’t…

Planning a Fun Filled Spring with a Child *
It only seems like five minutes since I was talking about my plans for the Christmas break and here we are inching ever closer to Easter. I always look forward to the school holidays despite the fact my daughter is only two, more so because my mum and best friend get time off work. Due to money being tight at the moment i’m already trying to budget for some fun activities to do with Little Miss to make Easter time seem more special, as when children are young they’re yet to understand what they are actually celebrating and besides, as i’m not religious I see Easter more as a celebration…

The Mummy Tag
I am so tired this evening so I thought i’d do a simple tag, The Mummy Tag. I’ve been tagged by my best friend Bee from over at Journeys are my Diary. A very old photo of us, the only one I can warrant sharing as she doesn’t really look like this anymore! 1. Are you a stay at home mum or a working mum? Currently a stay at home mum, although I do use my blog and writing in general as a source of income. I feel so blessed that I’m able to spend time with my daughter, my mother was a stay at home mum until I was…

Two.
Two years ago today, at 16:20 weighing 5lbs 2oz my beautiful daughter was born 13 days early. I loved her from the moment I saw her and I love her more every day. Today really brought home how incredibly proud I am of the little girl she’s turning into. She’s smart, funny, imaginative, polite and incredibly beautiful. I love every second being her mother, even on the bad days, which are thankfully few and far between. We had a rough two years but I think it’s made our relationship stronger. I love being her mummy, she’s everything I could ever of wish for in a child. We have had a…

#ChristmasJumperDay 2013
If you’re not feeling remotely festive yet, I’d probably question your mentality slightly. This is my second Christmas as a mother though and I can no longer remember what it’s like to work right through December and not have Santa on the TV screen from the 1st November. Not that I mind. I’ve always enjoyed Christmas up until three years ago.. then I was ill.. followed by being pregnant and living with the worst person in the world and then last year, single mother with an under one year old.. HOWEVER, finally I feel like I’m getting back into my past festive ways. Tree up on the 25th November, Christmas…
