My Worries as a Mother for my Daughter’s Future*
I’m a natural born worrier, it’s no wonder I suffer from anxiety and insomnia because I literally worry about every single thing. I’m also a pessimist and I’m always focusing on the worst case scenario. This has definitely gradually got worse since I became a mother. Every year as Little Miss gets older I have a new set of worries to consider and being on my own makes it feel like I have the whole weight of the world on my shoulders because I have no one to reassure me my worries are unfounded when I’m lying awake in the middle of the night. I do understand that every parent…

#WeSoFancyDress Back to School Party
Let’s face it, my kid is queen of fancy dress. If she could dress up every day as a different princess, she would. I think that’s why she loves a Disney holiday so much because she CAN dress up every day. Anyway, before Florida we have to go through 2 weeks of school, which means practical play clothes every day, and a rather unhappy Little Miss, so when Asda gave us the chance to host a #WeSoFancyDress back to school party with some of their range of fancy dress costumes for kids, I jumped at the chance figuring it would keep her going until our trip. I adore Asda’s range…

How To Make The School Holidays Special For Your Kids*
As a mum, I always want to do what’s best for my daughter, and that includes during the summer holidays. While us parents love having our little ones home with us, at times it can get pretty stressful. My Top Tips For Creating Your Daughter A Bedroom That She’ll Love*
When it comes to designing your daughter a new bedroom, it can be hard to choose the perfect design. Should you opt for fairies and princesses, or should you go for a design that’s more neutral? As parents, we don’t want to surround our children by gender stereotypes, we want our children to make their own decisions. Pink used to be for girls and blue used to be for boys, but today, that’s all changed. While some girls do love castles and princesses, others love playing with diggers and trucks, every little girl is different. That’s why, when it comes to creating your little one a bedroom she’ll love, it’s…

Fairytale Trail at Alnwick Gardens
Last week my sister and I decided to brave the weather (there had been heavy showers every day for days so we hadn’t managed to do anything), pack up a picnic and head down the road to Alnwick Gardens. The children’s centre my cousin works at had secured us complimentary tickets which was great news as the gardens can be an expensive day out. However if we had paid I wouldn’t have been disappointed, especially with the Fairytale Trail they currently have on. We didn’t really know what to expect as we’d both only visited the castle when we were kids.. we were thinking some grass and some flowers but…

LM’s Library Books, Week One
As promised, I’m going to be sharing what books we’ve picked up at the library for our bedtime stories each week. LM joined the library as part of our Summer Bucket List since this year is the first time I’ve had her off for the full 6 weeks so I was looking for free things to do. Our library is great with a nice big play area and colouring tables to keep her busy if I just want to have a sit down. Every week we go and pick 7 books, one for each night of the week! Although we are now into our 3rd week of summer, this was…
