#47 Recipe No.4 Cheats Carbonara
My mother was making stovies tonight with corn beef.. I hate both stovies and corn beef (not to mention I’m back on my diet) so she suggested I make my own tea. Having not an awful lot to work with (as I missed the shopping trip yesterday) I decided on an altered version of my cheat carbonara, using yellow peppers instead of the usual mushrooms, as of course my mother didn’t buy mushrooms. It’s not one of my best recipes (or photography for that matter) but it’s so fast, so cheap, healthy and tasty, come on what more do you want? I ate this a lot when I was saving…

#43 The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris Review
Seeking refuge and anonymity in the cobbled streets of Montmartre, Yanne and her two daughters live peacefully, if not happily, above their little chocolate shop. Nothing unusual marks them out; no red sachets hang by the door. The wind has stopped – at least for a while. Then into their lives blows Zozie de l’Alba, the lady with the lollipop shoes, ruthless, devious and seductive. With everything she loves at stake, Yanne must face a difficult choice; to flee, as she has done so many times before, or to confront her most dangerous enemy… Herself. I read Chocolat back in 2011 and I LOVED it (looking on Good Reads, it’s one of…

#42 MAC Brave Red Lipstick Review
I bought this lipstick back in December but I’ve only worn it twice, once back in December on a night out and the second time was today! After wearing it to simply go to the supermarket (my life is that glamorous, the joys of being a mother) I have decided I am in love! It’s called Brave Red with a cremesheen finish which is one of my favourite finishes in MAC lipstick however on the website it doesn’t look a nice colour at all and is described as a red-yellow! If I had been ordering offline I’d of never given it a second look, but I bought it from a…

#41 The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon Review
Christopher John Francis Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow. This improbable story of Christopher’s quest to investigate the suspicious death of a neighborhood dog makes for one I have been recommended this book more than a dozen times but only recently got my hands on a copy. I know this is technically a young adults book but I know when I was classed as a young adult I would not have enjoyed this at…

#39 Make My Home, a H&M Home!
When I think of home inspiration and decoration, I have never thought “Hey, lets look in H&M!” but this has changed since the most recent catalogue dropped through my door last week! I am impressed & in love, but also upset that I no longer have a home to decorate. However I have started collecting stuff for when I have my own place. It all gets boxed up and stored for when the time comes. Anyway, in case you haven’t seen H&M’s S/S13 home collection, here are my favourite bits! Glittery Placemat £6.99 // Bird Patterned Duvet Cover £29.99 // Book Curtain £12.99Cherry Blossom Guest Towels (2 Pack) £6.99Pink Canvas…

#38 Recipe No.3 Prawn Noodle Bowls
So, tomorrow is my first weigh in after dieting for a week. I have no idea what i’ll have lost since my dad insisted on a massive Indian take-away at the weekend, however my mum and sister have insisted all week i’ve lost weight but to be perfectly honest I think they’re bored already of my intense calorie counting and weight watching. In my view, if you’re going to do it, do it right not half arsed. Tonight it was my turn to cook again because my mum was out with my sister, I decided to do a variation of something else I saw in Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals, but…
