10 Things I Love About My Cat
Today is apparently “World Animal Day” I know, I know, it’s a different celebration almost daily now but it’s been a while since I talked about just how much I love my pet cat, Elsa Arya. I think being away from her for almost 2 weeks really made me realise just how big a part of my life she is. And all my family should be thankful she was here because it gave me a reason to come home. We’ve had Elsa a year next month. She’s a pure bred blue point ragdoll and I just really love her. My Worries as a Mother for my Daughter’s Future*
I’m a natural born worrier, it’s no wonder I suffer from anxiety and insomnia because I literally worry about every single thing. I’m also a pessimist and I’m always focusing on the worst case scenario. This has definitely gradually got worse since I became a mother. Every year as Little Miss gets older I have a new set of worries to consider and being on my own makes it feel like I have the whole weight of the world on my shoulders because I have no one to reassure me my worries are unfounded when I’m lying awake in the middle of the night. I’d say so far, Alice and Belle have been her two favourite to photograph because of the vast array of props! I’m so glad I started photographing her outfits because I’ve been setting up play dates while we’re over there with Disney mum’s, so our kids will be coordinating! Plus, she’s growing like a…

How to Fake Confidence
When I came back from the states, I had a bit of an identity crisis. Looking back on it, almost 6 weeks later, I know there were a lot of factors that resulted in me sliding back into the black pit of hopelessness. But as a mother, every time I do end up here again, I don’t have the option of crawling back under my quilt and spending the day there. Yes, I take naps whenever I can (mainly because when I feel like this, my insomnia is particularly bad) but I don’t get a “day off” pursay. So instead, I fake it. I’ve had to fake confidence in myself…

Parenting Content // How To Help Your Child Sleep Better – Tips and Advice*
Credit Healthy sleep is crucial for a child’s mental and physical development. If you’re a parent however, you’ll probably know that no matter how often you try and tell this to excitable offspring, they’ll remain convinced that a proper bedtime is whenever they feel like. It also doesn’t help that although sleep is clearly crucial, no-one really knows why, meaning that the endless stream of “why” questions end up being answered with “just because” a bit sooner than normal! So how do you establish the right actions and routines to make sleep come easier? A mixture of practical advice and simple science has the answer! First off removing screens, including…
