A Wanderlust Wishlist – Holidaying in the UK *
Did any of you notice that I’ve swapped my A Wednesday Wishlist feature for something different this week? Today I’m sharing A Wanderlust Wishlist instead, just for a change. And lets face it, we all know how much I love an adventure! After next year there will be no more holidays abroad for Little Miss and I for a good three years. Why? Because my dad promised that when my nephew and daughter have turned 5, he’ll help finance a family trip to Florida. My sister and I are on count down already! However, he’s only offered to pay for accommodation and of course he’ll be renting the car. We…

#213 Recipe No.15 Noodle Soup
As everyone on this planet and out of space knows with my constant moaning, I’ve had a cold for the past week and a half. If I’d been near any university students I would be damn sure I had freshers flu because it’s been as bad and I haven’t been able to drink myself into oblivion to combat it! Instead I made soup. I know usually it’s recommended to have chicken soup when ill but I didn’t have any chicken.. so I settled for the next best thing. Noodle soup but made with chicken stock to get it that comforting taste. Yes, it probably had no medicinal properties but it…

#212 Going Back To School, Better Late Than Never *
Credit First, let me just say from the age of 16 I worked. Even when I was at uni, I worked and should I have stayed in Lincoln, I probably would still be working. However, when I moved back home it meant giving up my job I had to go back to after my maternity leave. Yes, it wasn’t the best job but it would of been flexible and I could of done it until I found something better. When my maternity leave ended a year ago, I went out and got myself a job straight away. Luckily everywhere was after Christmas staff so it wasn’t that hard. Unfortunately, the…

I Feel The Fear
Since turning twenty five back in March, I can now officially say I’m in my mid twenties. I’m a single mother, unemployed, living in my home town. At my bleakest moments, I feel what I call “the fear.” This isn’t what I wanted. I didn’t want to be back here, on my own, with a child and no job prospects. I wanted to be so much more ever since I was a small child. I dreamed of getting away, seeing the world and yes, I’ve had a few holidays but it’s hardly the same. As bloggers we always focus on what our hopes and dreams are, and apart from the…

Barry M Turn My Lips Pink Lipstick Review
I’m still sick, boo! So I’ve turned to my good ol’ hard drive to see what photos I have to turn into a blog post for this fine evening when the TV is absolutely rubbish. I hate Freeview, I can’t wait to get back to work next year so I can justify having Sky TV in again. I will probably put on a DVD and snuggle up under my spare quilt on the sofa. I don’t know whether or not to order take away, this is my eternal Saturday night dilemma! I probably shouldn’t as I have pizza in the freezer and a carton of soup in the fridge if…

Cookies & Cream Cupcakes Recipe
I’m absolutely choked to death with the cold so I’m keeping this short and sweet! I’m also so tired after having a busy few days with Alice & Hayley visiting. Actually love those girls. Alice is hopefully driving up next month and I’ll be seeing Hayley again in 40 days for our Paris trip. We even did some planning last night, how exciting?! Anyway, tonight I’m giving you all a recipe for some delicious cupcakes! The recipe originally comes from The Hummingbird Bakery’s book, Home Sweet Home. I have to admit I swear by HB recipes as I know they always turn out amazingly. In Home Sweet Home there is…
