It’s Time To Talk
I had resolved that I wasn’t going to blog tonight, but after taking part in the #timetotalkchat on Twitter, I decided I wanted to have my little say in regards to mental health. Today is Time to Talk day, a day to encourage people to beat the stigma that goes along with mental health. I have read many brave posts and tweets from my fellow bloggers who have felt ashamed, scared, worried and embarrassed by their problems and for me, someone who is currently suffering with mental health problems, I’ve never felt less alone in my struggle. I’ve never understood the reason why there is such a stigma with MH,…

A Single Girl’s Valentines – Worst and Best Dates *
As we all know, February is the month of love. As a single girl it’s so hard to escape this fact because it’s everywhere and although it doesn’t upset me personally (hey, it’s just another day, right?) I know that some people do find it hard. So I’ve decided to bring you Valentines from a single girls point of view. A few posts over the next few weeks talking about love and dating, but from someone who isn’t in a relationship. They won’t be all about how I spend my evenings sat at home drinking squash and playing Take Me Out on Gala Bingo, I promise. However there will be…

Historical U.S. Cities You Must See *
As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts, I have a strong love for travelling, the U.S, and history. With that in mind, getting the opportunity to combine all three is one of my ultimate travel goals. But because the States are so vast, it would be virtually impossible for me to see every place I find interesting. Some of the oldest cities with the most history, however, are located along the East Coast and can easily be seen by train or car. Just remember that you’ll need to pack travel essentials that can easily be transported abroad. For instance, the U.S. Transportation and Security Administration has certain requirements for travelling…

January Reads
As I’ve resolved to read more books this year I thought i’d blog about what I read monthly rather than doing a review of each. I always struggle with book reviews because I don’t like giving too much away. I’m more of a “read it!” or “don’t read it!” kind of person. This way I can simply write a few sentences about what I think about each book then tell you all whether I recommend it or not. I can also keep track on my blog what I’ve read as well as on Goodreads. I managed three books this month and I’m half way through my forth. I would have…

Two.
Two years ago today, at 16:20 weighing 5lbs 2oz my beautiful daughter was born 13 days early. I loved her from the moment I saw her and I love her more every day. Today really brought home how incredibly proud I am of the little girl she’s turning into. She’s smart, funny, imaginative, polite and incredibly beautiful. I love every second being her mother, even on the bad days, which are thankfully few and far between. We had a rough two years but I think it’s made our relationship stronger. I love being her mummy, she’s everything I could ever of wish for in a child. We have had a…
