Home Improvement Project 2015 – The Bathroom*
I’ve said a fair few times over the last few months how I’m planning on staying in this house for a number of years. With this in mind I’m slowly accepting that when I moved in, the decorating was a rush job (3 bedrooms painted with 2 coats in 1 week) and it’s time I spent some money and time on really making this place home. I did make a start last year when I decorated my hall way. I can’t describe the pride I felt when I completed it myself! This is the first house I’ve had complete creative control over and boy did that feel good. I’ve also…

Love Your Pet Day – Ode to Elsa
Today i’m blogging about how much I love my kitten, Elsa Arya. If I’m honest because I took an impromptu trip I just haven’t had the time to prepare a post for today however I have been alerted to the fact that today is Love Your Pet Day, which works too. If I’m honest in our house every day is love your pet day as far as I’m concerned but as I haven’t done a real update since the day we picked her up, I thought i’d celebrate this special pet loving day with a blog post all about how Elsa is getting on, and how much she enjoyed her…

Lifestyle Content // An Exciting Way to Spend a Night In*
Life is very different when you have young kids at home compared with those carefree days of being young, free and single with no responsibilities. One really noticeable change is how many evenings you stay in at home and how relatively few evenings you’re able to meet up with your mates. Credit Not that we would want it any other way. Children are generally the centre of most parents’ universes and they’re happy to be at home as a family most evenings. However, once you’ve got your little one tucked up in bed, you don’t always want to spend the rest of the night watching Eastenders or similar. After all,…

A Day in the Life, February 2015
Last month I started a new series on the blog (because I seem to fair better doing one that I only need to think about once a month) and this of course is my “A Day in the Life” series. For January I chose to do a regular day, but this month I chose to document a very special day.. going away to the cinema for Little Miss’ birthday. Her birthday was actually last month but due to one thing and another we didn’t get until last Tuesday. The photos are rubbish quality because I decided to give my dad’s point a shoot a test run and I just can’t…

Pandora Arm Candy with Joshua James
ALL LINKS HAVE BEEN REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE. Pandora Silver Heart Clasp Bracelet* £55 // Pandora Silver Crown Dangle Charm* £30 both Joshua James Growing up, I always wanted a charm bracelet because no one had one but back then you could never find a style that had pretty charms to collect. Then Pandora came along and I was so reluctant to join the craze, because lets face it, I do like to stand out and go against the grain. But for my 22nd birthday my sister bought me a bracelet and my grandparents bought my first charm, and from then on.. my heart belonged to Pandora.…

Why I’m Not Seeing 50 Shades of Grey This Valentines Day (or ever)
Here is a small warning that this post may contain some triggers as I discuss domestic abuse. It has taken me a few days of serious thought as to whether or not I wanted to post about this as I have only lightly touched on this subject in the past. But this week I have seen people I love and respect talking about how much they would “love a man like Christian Grey” I just need to get my story out. It’s been almost three years since I read the books so please forgive me if I don’t get al the facts 100%. This isn’t a post about how badly…
