My Three Favourite Holiday Moments from 2017*

    March 15, 2018 /

Now we’re half way through March, 2017 feels like an absolute life time ago! On the whole, it was a good year for us, we had our ups and downs but we also had a lot of wonderful adventures both at home and abroad. Although I’m desperately willing the next 66 days to fly by so we can be back in Walt Disney World, I thought i’d take today to reflect on some wonderful holiday memories we made last year by sharing 3 of my favourites. Starting with a memory from home, rather than abroad; Last year Little Miss and I really started to explore London, and I was so…

Business Content // How Team Building Can Improve Customer Experience*

    March 14, 2018 /

Team building exercises have a long list of benefits, including improved employee morale and a better customer experience. All too often, targets and hectic schedules mean that employees working in contact centres or other customer service roles end up spending their entire shift facing customers, with very little time dedicated to team building away from the workplace. However, the companies who are looking at the bigger picture and making time for such activities are starting to see significant benefits from team building activities. Keeping your employees happy has so many different benefits like reduced turnover of staff and with that comes cost savings of recruiting new staff. Team building exercises…

Travel Content // 4 of the Best Travel Destinations in the USA*

    March 13, 2018 /

Traveling is a great way to not only get away from your busy life and relax a little, but is also a great way to see and explore new cities or countries. While many who travel will go across the world or to a different country, there are plenty of great places to go that are within the confines of the USA. There are many cool things to see, places to eat and things to do that you likely have never experienced before in these cities. Not only that, but traveling within the country can often be more affordable and the culture shock won’t be quite as large. With that…

Helping Your Child Stay Organised at School*

    March 11, 2018 /

Little Miss has now been at school for almost a year and a half. In the beginning it was mainly play, but as she grows we’re starting to get homework, difficult reading assignments and topic work. Understandably it’s sometimes hard for her to stay focused both in class and at home trying to complete homework. She’s just 6 and we get up in the morning at 7:30, leave the house at 8:30 and she doesn’t finish until 3:20. For such a small child it’s a lot and although she’s smart (more creative than academic though) I worry that without my help she’ll become bogged down with everything and lost in…

Travel Content // Coastal Stays vs Country Stays*

    March 10, 2018 /

Over the past few years stay cations have been growing in popularity. With the cost of holidays abroad and the failing exchange rate, it’s no surprise people are chosing to enjoy what we have here over jetting off to a beach somewhere. With miles and miles of glorious coastline and countryside, we’re spoiled for choice in the UK when it comes to choosing a destination for our next break. But how do coast and country breaks compare? And do we prefer to feel the sea breeze in our hair or the quietness of the countryside much more appealing? The team at Cottages in Northumberland, a coastal cottages and country breaks…
