Let’s face it, my kid is queen of fancy dress. If she could dress up every day as a different princess, she would. I think that’s why she loves a Disney holiday so much because she CAN dress up every day. Sheffield Film and Comicon August 2015
On Saturday I finally went to a convention mainly to cosplay, hooray! It’s the first one of the year but hopefully it won’t be the last one. As Bee and I had such a fantastic time at London Film and Comicon we have been desperate to go to another one but with having such busy lives as well as money and time restraints it hasn’t happened. But trust me when I say, we have big plans for making 2016 the year of all the conventions and cosplay, so stay tuned! How It Feels to Never Be The One
It’s been a long time since I’ve started typing without knowing where a post is going. But today I decided I just really want to vent to a faceless person rather than have a one on one conversation. 2015 Summer Seaside Festival
This weekend it was out local seaside festival. One of my favourite weekends of the whole summer, even more so this year because we had beautiful sunshine! My parents live in the village where it is held, just around the corner from the promenade. Little Miss loves it more with each passing year. Fairytale Trail at Alnwick Gardens
Last week my sister and I decided to brave the weather (there had been heavy showers every day for days so we hadn’t managed to do anything), pack up a picnic and head down the road to Alnwick Gardens. The children’s centre my cousin works at had secured us complimentary tickets which was great news as the gardens can be an expensive day out. However if we had paid I wouldn’t have been disappointed, especially with the Fairytale Trail they currently have on. Picnicking with Primula Dips
Hasn’t summer just been dreadful? However, on Friday we managed to get out for our first picnic of the year. We filled a basket and headed to The Alnwick Gardens. Although it was spitting on rain we weren’t deterred and set up camp on a big patch of grass opposite a beautiful fountain. We weren’t the only family, in fact there were a lot of young families with similar set ups, a picnic blanket and food from home.
