Things to Consider About Well Being in the Colder Months*
Summer is over, we had our first blast of wintery weather last week and the blankets were back on the bed. One day I even wore winter boots to do the school run! As much as I do love wintery weather, I love layers and candles and getting ready for Christmas one of the things I really don’t like is all the illnesses that go along with the colder months. Last week both my sister and dad came down with colds that have gone onto their chests, neither of them were especially prepared for the sudden change in weather along with my nephew starting school and bringing an assortment of…

Tsum Tsum Vinyl Collection Review
LINKS REMOVED AS ITEMS NO LONGER FOR SALE Little Miss has been collecting Tsum Tsum’s for a good few years, mainly the small plush ones but since we went to Florida in March, Little Miss has been into the vinyl ones or squishy ones. They’re small enough she can play with them in her dolls house or carry them around in her little bags. Until recently the only ones that have been available in the UK are the squishy ones but over the last couple of months we’ve finally got the Vinyl ones that Little Miss loved so much while we were away so of course we’ve really started collecting…

Shopping Spotlight – Magical Things
One of my favourite things about Disney becoming so mainstream is the abundance of creative people who are able to make more and more unique Disney products available to buy. As we all know Little Miss loves Peter Pan and Wendy but there isn’t that much merchandise available especially of Wendy and especially for children. If it wasn’t for these creative people and platforms such as Etsy, Little Miss wouldn’t have a Wendy dress, we would be seriously lacking in Peter Pan art work and we’d struggle to find shirts and accessories of our favourite character and film. Because of this I am a huge supporter of small businesses that…

Berwick Food & Beer Festival 2016
Back in 2014 I blogged about our local Food & Beer festival, however last year I was way too sick to take photos. This year though I made a concious effort, even just to have a note of it on the blog. Berwick’s Food & Beer Festival is possibly our families favourite local event of the year so by last Saturday we were hyped. Sadly the forecast wasn’t the best but armed with umbrellas and raincoats we headed over for an afternoon of good food and drink. One of my favourite things about the festival is the number of food stalls there are. I always try and save some money…

A Letter to my Daughter on her First Day at School
Congratulations! Today is your day! You’re off to great places! You’re off and away! You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. – Oh The Places You’ll Go, Dr Seuss When you were born this day seemed so far in the future it didn’t worry me. You were my baby. I could hold you and cuddle you and raise you completely on my own. But yet here we are, four years in the future and I helped you put on your school uniform this morning for the first time. The first day of the next 12 years. I…

What Little Miss Read July & August (and a Giveaway!)
So, the summer holidays are over already, can you believe it? I can’t. It just seems like 5 minutes since they started. We actually had a fairly busy summer, lots of quality time together which I’m so thankful for. Little Miss is still enjoying a story before bed (most nights) so we have some new books that we read over the summer to share with you all this instalment of What Little Miss Read. Pom Pom is Super by Sophy Henn* Everyone’s favourite little panda is back with his third story, Pom Pom is Super. Although this is the first Pom Pom book we have ever come across I’m fairly…
