Outfit of the Day – O is for Owl
FINALLY this place has some sun! Yesterday when everywhere else in the country was bathed in sunlight it was grey an miserable up here, so I’d given up hope on Spring again, but then this morning I woke to sun shining in. It makes me so happy when the sun shines. I loved getting dressed this morning and putting on make up. I’ve taken some photos and I’m going for a walk with Little Miss. I hope this carries on for the rest of the week, since it’s my BIRTHDAY WEEK (I’m celebrating it a LOT this year, sorry!)
I’m starting to have a love affair with my camera. I’m gradually improving when it comes to taking photos, using my tripod and my remote. My favourite thing to photograph in regards to my blog is an outfit. Although I wouldn’t say I’m fashion savvy, I do really love the way I dress and my own perception of fashion, and I like it even more I can share it on my blog now and feel good about it! Looking back at outfit posts from last year actually make me cring. Now they’re some of my favourite posts to share. I think it also has something to do with the fact I feel good about myself a lot more these days. That hasn’t happened in years.

Firstly, I try to avoid taking photos with my hair up as I have such a massive face! But my hair really needs a wash but I”m trying to condition it and it’s not due a wash until tomorrow. So I apologise for blinding you all with my forehead.
With living beside the seaside it means it’s quite often still cool despite the sun so usually in the Spring I opt for legs out or a lightweight jacket. Never both as it’s just too cold. Today I’ve opted for legs out, as I’m going out with the pushchair and I usually get warm legs while walking. The main focus of this outfit is the beautiful scarf I received from Epice. Epice is a French brand that makes the most beautiful looking scarves, so when I was ask if I would like to receive one, I couldn’t say no. Besides, French. I love anything French. Anyway, Epice scarves are 100% fairtrade, based on Scandinavian designs as well as being inspired by and made in India. They have loads of different designs, some plain and some thicker than others, but I settled on this beautiful Wool & Cashmere scarf in a houndstooth print. I thought the colours would be perfect for my Spring wardrobe and as it’s not as heavy as wool scarf it would be so wearable on those crisp Spring days. How right I was. It’s the most beautiful accessory I’ve ever owned and so incredibly soft! It also arrived in the most lovely packaging and really brightened my day.
Hope you’re enjoying this Spring-like weather as much as I am!

Lovely scarf. It’s sunny and bright here but I think I made a mistake in not bringing a coat as it was colder than it looked when I went out this morning.

Amy I love your houndstooth scarf, such fab colours and the way you’ve tied it is so unique, how did you get it like that? (I can’t believe your skirt was only £1!!)
