Days Out in England – Quentin Blake: Inside Stories at Laing Art Gallery
Despite being ill on Tuesday, Little Miss and I had a day away to Newcastle, just the two of us. We’d been offered complimentary tickets to the Quentin Blake: Inside Stories at the Laing Art Gallery, and being a huge Blake fan, I just had to go. So we hopped on an early train (train tickets having been bought using my Nectar points) and headed down to the city for a few hours. Our Easter 2017 Plans
Today the Easter holidays start at Little Miss school! I can’t believe it’s been a whole term since LM went back after Christmas and now she only has one term left of her first year at school, that’s scary. But before I think about that, I have her at home for two whole weeks and we have so much planned! I’m sure because we do have so much planned it’s going to fly by but at least I know we’ll have lots of fun, fingers crossed we get some good weather for it. Things to Do With Kids in the Newcastle
Next week Little Miss is on half term for a week, so as usual the week before I’m trying to plan a few activities for us to do. We’re not going anywhere special as March is shaping up to be a busy month for us so I’m trying to save as much money for that instead, however unless the weather is truly terrible I’d rather we didn’t spend the whole time in the house. 5 Festive Things to Do With Your Child in the North East*
Hands up who put their tree up this weekend? I know we did! After a trip to town and seeing the decorations along with some trees in the windows of houses, Little Miss convinced me that we needed to put ours up. So with an order of pizza we spent Saturday night watching The Enchanted Christmas & Once Upon a Christmas and really decking the halls.
