Gift Giving on Galentines Day 2017
Can you believe it’s been over a week since Valentines Day? I always dread the run up to it as I’m still on my own but then it passes and I think to myself “well that was a lot of fuss over nothing!” I guess what softens the blow these days is the fact I have Galentines Day to celebrate. It was actually my best friend Bee who started it last year by taking us to lunch and presenting us with gifts. I was caught off guard but I was making sure that wasn’t happening this year. The reason why this post is so late as I was late sending off her gift due to me loosing my bank card just before the big day, typical! But now I know it arrived safely I wanted to share what she sent me and what I bought her and Little Miss in celebration of Galentines Day.
Bee is probably the biggest Beauty and the Beast fan I know, she also loves the villains so I knew a Gaston Funko Pop figure was the way to go with her. I’m actually responsible for starting her collection a few years back with Belle and the Beast! This was probably the first time i’ve wanted to keep a Pop figure I’ve bought for someone else for myself probably because I have a little soft spot for him after meeting him at Walt Disney World in October. I’m sure he’s much happier in his new home though with Belle to pursue. To go with him, I picked up one of those beautiful Hallmark cards, I would have them all purely to frame for my wall!
For Little Miss, I got her the Tinkerbell Micro Playset from the Animator Collection. I’m working hard on changing her room into a Peter Pan themed bedroom so I knew this would look gorgeous on her bedside table. That wasn’t the reason, Little Miss also loves little playsets and figures so I knew it would get played with. She also loves the Animator collection and has five dolls (Alice, Lilo, Aurora, Anna and Elsa). Obviously I was right and she adored it. It comes with a mystery figure which was oddly Philippe from Beauty and the Beast… Never mind!
Because my bestie is a lot more organised than I am she managed to send my gift so it arrived before Galentines day. She picked out bits she knew I would love and even included some things for Little Miss which was the sweetest, LM loved being included and getting mail.
I feel so incredibly blessed to have a friend like Bee. She’s the person who puts up with me, my good days, my bad days. Talks me down when I’m being a brat, bitches about men with me and always has my back. I’m so thankful to have so many amazing memories of our friendship and I can’t wait to make some more.
As I’m sure you know, Bee is a master of all trades in the crafty sense and I was lucky enough to receive on of the products she was trialling in the form of this gorgeous Peter Pan candle! It’s now sat on my fireplace and I don’t know if I have the heart to burn it!
