Days Out in England – KidZania, London
Since we have no big holiday booked this year I’m trying to make 2017 the year of mini adventures. So far we’ve been to Disneyland Paris and last month we went to visit my best friend Bee which included a trip to the cinema to see Beauty and the Beast. I know for a lot of people that isn’t really an adventure but our local cinema isn’t even SHOWING the movie yet so for us going to a cinema to see a newly released movie is a big adventure. This past weekend we ventured to London for the first time (the only time LM has ever been to London is…

Shopping for Kids this Christmas*
A couple a months ago I compiled a post of my favourite toys for children age 0 – 2 as that’s the only experience I really have at the moment. Up until this year my daughter never asked for anything I just guessed what she’d be into. This year she did ask for a couple of things but no where near the stage of making a list, but it’s a start. Of course being the Disney head she is she did ask for some Frozen toys and my dad got it into his head that he wanted to get her a Frozen castle of some sort which was difficult but…

The Perfectly Honest Single Parent Post
Hi my name is Amy and I’m a single mother. I have a two year old daughter from a previous (domestic abusive) relationship and she has nothing to do with her father. I am not just a single mother, I’m a sole parent. I make all the decisions in regards to how my child is raised and I also am the only person who sets rules and boundaries. My daughter attends nursery five hours a week. Aside from that, she is with me. In the blogging world it appears to be frowned upon to admit your child is anything less than perfect. Like with everything in life as far as…

Easter Crafting for Kids with Hobbycraft
Easter Craft Pack c/o Hobby Craft Felt Bunny Baskets c/o Hobby Craft Little Miss insisted we donate the blue one to her cousin. Not because blue is for boys, but because pink is her favourite colour. As I mentioned in my blog post about activities to keep your children busy over Easter, crafting was one of my suggestions. This was based on the fact I had this Easter activity kit hidden away to do on some rainy afternoon, and that rainy afternoon ended up being today. Hobbycraft kindly sent me some bits and pieces from their Easter range, these along with some stuff I’d also picked up from…

Planning a Fun Filled Spring with a Child *
It only seems like five minutes since I was talking about my plans for the Christmas break and here we are inching ever closer to Easter. I always look forward to the school holidays despite the fact my daughter is only two, more so because my mum and best friend get time off work. Due to money being tight at the moment i’m already trying to budget for some fun activities to do with Little Miss to make Easter time seem more special, as when children are young they’re yet to understand what they are actually celebrating and besides, as i’m not religious I see Easter more as a celebration…
