Tune Hotels, Newcastle Review
Last week I received and exciting email inviting me to review a hotel. Now we all know how much I love travelling, so clearly I was going to accept, even if this hotel was only 40 minutes down the road. Having just opened last Wednesday, the Newcastle branch of Tune Hotels now stands in the Grade II Listed Proctor House near the Quayside. Tune Hotels are a fairly new concept to this country. Newcastle is one of only 7 in the UK, and one of only 2 outside London, Tune Hotels believe in “a great night’s sleep, at a great price” (found here). So yesterday afternoon Little Miss and I…

Where Amy Ate – Paris City Break Edition
WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. This lovely sunny Sunday morning I’m bringing you a very special edition of Where Amy Ate, all about the places Hayley and I ate while in Paris last month. I promise this is my penultimate Paris related post (as I’m sure you’re all getting bored of hearing about it) anyway, we ate in such great places I thought I’d share them all in their own foodie related post. There are so many great places to eat while in Paris, and I’m hoping maybe this post will serve as inspiration for anyone going who doesn’t have a clue where to start when…

Paris City Break – Day Three
WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. By the third day we’d seen all the big things we really wanted to see. We decided to head out for breakfast after the complimentary breakfast at the hostel wasn’t that amazing (can’t expect much when it’s free!) Hayley had found this place called Breakfast in America which was an authentic American diner in Paris. We had to go. When we arrived we had a bit of a giggle at the fact it was right next door to La Favourite where we’d dined the night before. Oh well. The food was fantastic and will be featured in my special edition of…

Paris City Break – Day Two
WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. The night before we sort of planned what we wanted to do on day two, it was all worked around Hayley‘s 13:30 reservation at the Cat Cafe. We’d also tried to book Eiffel Tower tickets online from the hostel but it was booked up until the Wednesday. We didn’t want to take a chance that the weather was going to turn so instead we made our way to the Eiffel Tower for it’s opening at 9:30 hoping the queue would be at it’s shortest. Luckily we were right, although it wasn’t as short as we would of liked. It was another…

Paris City Break – Day One
WARNING; This post is very photograph & text heavy. As you all know I ventured to Paris last week with Hayley from Strangeness and Charm. We spur of the moment booked it back in July when the Eurostar tickets for October came available to buy. It cost us roughly £75 return each with a little extra on top for insurance. Hayley booked us three nights in a hostel since I bought the Eurostar tickets. After hearing positive reviews she went with St Christophers, The Canal Hostel which turned out to be bloody awesome (more on that a bit later). We roughly paid the same each. So over all, a three…

Paris Planning
As i’ve mentioned a million times, i’m heading off to Paris for a few days at the end of the month. When i’m having a bad day, this is one of the things that keeps me going. Today hasn’t been a great day so this evening I sat on my phone browsing Pinterest for some ideas on where I’d like to visit when I’m there. I’m going with the truly lovely Hayley from Strangeness & Charm and she has made it very clear the places she wants to visit; the catacombs, Musee d’Orsay, Paris’ cat cafe & La Favourite Cafe. I’m cool with all of these although I’ll probably be…
