Glasses Direct Prescription Lense Sunglasses Review
Scout Marilyn in Black/Purple* £75, Glasses Direct These gorgeous sunglasses from Glasses Direct have already made their debut last week on the blog in my first outdoor outfit of the day post! But they definitely need a post of their own, especially since they’re another of my new favourite accessory for summer, prescription lense sunglasses! I honestly don’t know how I survived previous summers without them, as now my Primark sunnies are discarded in the drawer! I probably won’t ever use them again! So anyway, a little more about the sunglasses themselves. They’re by a designer called Scout which I have heard of before as my mum has a…

Outfit of the Day – We’re Not In Kansas Anymore
Hello! This is my second outfit post that I felt brave enough to shoot outside. However this time I cheated a little and did it around my mum’s house rather than in some public place. There is of course a half decent reason for this, as in I only get to shoot them when Little Miss is in nursery on a Tuesday and Wednesday. I never want to stray too far as I like to be prompt in picking her up. Not that she’s ever looking for me! I took these during my blog-cation last week and I’m pretty pleased with how they’ve come out. Lotta Rosie Hairband…

London Film and Comicon 2014
If you follow me on Twitter/Instagram you will already know that over the weekend of the 11th I was in London for the London Film and Comicon. Way back in February, Bee and I started looking for conventions to attend mainly to cosplay. She found this one and it looked a) feesible during the time of year b) good value for money (the entry tickets anyway) and c) a great host of guests, including Stan Lee for his last ever European appearance (the dude is over 90!) We booked our tickets and started researching costumes, both of us going through a few ideas (especially Bee) before finally settling. Her partner,…

Getting The House Summer Ready*
As I mentioned in yesterdays Mid Year Round Up post, Saturday past saw one year since I officially moved into my home. I also mentioned since I moved I have done very little to make it feel like a “finished” product. We the year mark passing I’ve had an urge to do some more home improvements and I thought i’d share my plans with my readers, who if you followed Cocktails in Teacups last year will know all about my home from my house tours. With the change of season I always feel like there are certain ways to improve your home. In the winter I want thicker bedding and…

Mid Year Round Up 2014
In case you haven’t realised yet, I have a new layout! That I put together myself. For the first time in the history of Cocktails in Teacups I have a new colour scheme! My favourite colour is actually teal/turquoise so I decided to go with that. The drawing was done by my little sister Erin, she’s a fantastic artist but doesn’t have the time with a full time job and a toddler. She’s far too flattering when it comes to her cartoons but I promised I’d use it! I feel like it’s so much easier to navigate now and I won’t lie, I’m so proud of it! Anyway, I almost…

There are all sorts of different views from parents on if and when you should introduce a television in your child’s bedroom. Some don’t see a problem with it whilst others don’t believe it’s a good idea at all. Here are the arguments for and against putting a TV in your child’s room so you can decide for yourself… For · They can relax on their own – your child can take themselves off to their room if they just want to relax on their own and watch something they like · Fewer arguments on what to watch – You want to watch one thing but they want to watch…
