Doing Disneyland Paris on a Budget Part 1 – Transport, Accommodation & Tickets
Almost two years ago I did a post about doing Walt Disney World and Orlando on a budget. Although I have been lucky enough to do Florida 4 times in less than two years, I won’t be back this year no matter how much I budget. Instead we’re settling on multiple trips to Disneyland Paris and a few trips to London, all this roughly comes to the price of our very first trip to Florida back in April 2015. In the past two years prices have increased due to the unstable economy and just general inflation making it harder for me to afford it as a single parent without giving…

Gift Giving on Galentines Day 2017
Can you believe it’s been over a week since Valentines Day? I always dread the run up to it as I’m still on my own but then it passes and I think to myself “well that was a lot of fuss over nothing!” I guess what softens the blow these days is the fact I have Galentines Day to celebrate. It was actually my best friend Bee who started it last year by taking us to lunch and presenting us with gifts. I was caught off guard but I was making sure that wasn’t happening this year. Days Out in England – Bones Exhibition at The Great North Museum
Yesterday we continued our trend of having a day away during the school holidays. During Christmas we ventured up to Edinburgh to enjoy the Christmas Market, so this time we headed south and went to Newcastle. I asked my mum if she wanted to come with my nephew as he’s really into bones and even wanted to be an archaeologist at one point! So we booked trains and exchanged some…

What Little Miss Read – Edie by Sophy Henn
It’s been so long since I’ve gotten around to doing a What Little Miss Read section on the blog, not because we haven’t been reading, because we have, a lot. It just happens to be a lot of books about Biff, Chip, Kipper and Floppy the dog and I’m not the one who’s been doing the reading! I guess that’s what happens when your kid starts school! However when this particular book arrived and we had a read through, I just knew we needed to do a very special post about it and finally today we had a chance to. Edie by Sophy Henn* Edie is the newest children’s book…

Things You Should Be Watching on Netflix
I’ve had a bit of a love hate relationship with Netflix over the years and because of this, when I get low on funds my account is the first to go. However with it currently being in the middle of winter and I’m spending each evening on my own, I’ve been watching it a lot more than usual, and not only that, I’ve watched some really great things lately that I feel the need to share with you all. It’s not just current things, just in case you’re all up to date, but things i’ve watched over the last 6 months and if you follow me on Twitter you’ve probably…
