Aura Print Business Card Review*

Review post with Aura Print

The world is finally opening back up again, well maybe not the world, but the UK certainly is. More COVID guidelines were dropped today so I know that in person work opportunities are once again on the horizon and it’s time to get prepared. I don’t know about you, but as someone who mainly worked from home and really only went out to network, I felt the sting of being away from my peers for so long. Not only that, but as I’m outsourced, work availability really went down, as I’m sure it did for many many people. But we’re here, we’re coming out the other side and now it’s time to put my hat back on and get ready to make some new connections.

By getting ready for this, I have to ensure I use all resources at my disposal, make myself stand out from the crowd. When I go to places to network, I often feel like a walking CV. People ask who I’ve worked with, what I’m able to do and while I’ve never been the best at talking myself up, I know to get anywhere, I have to leave a lasting impression.. and also leave a business card. Now it’s been a while since I had professional ones made up, but in preparation for getting back out there, I’ve worked with Aura Print to design some, and I couldn’t be happier!

Aura Print, The Company

Aura Print as company are based in both the UK and US (I know a fair amount of my readers are over the pond, so I hope this helps them too) and when I say they have a million options so you come away with what you want, I’m not exaggerating. From Aura Print themselves;

“We make it simple to create a masterpiece on any budget, with a choice of templates for folded business cards, plastic business cards, and full colour cards. You can order business cards online with lamination and a premium thickness that ensures your business cards will last. Further bespoke printing options include metallic foil printing, coated and uncoated glossy or matt finishes, and printing on portrait, landscape, or square paper.”

I can honestly say, this isn’t an exaggeration. In fact, my only gripe is there are so many options and as someone who doesn’t really work with design or graphic this was a little overwhelming. I knew what colours I wanted, and design. Something simply but eye catching and I also knew what information I wanted, but I wasn’t sure about putting it all together. Thankfully, that’s where Aura Print really shone for me.

Working with Aura Print

Initially I picked what I thought would look good, sent off an old design I had that I use on my invoices and in branding, and picked what I want on my card. I can’t remember what I originally went for but i’m so glad that Jade got in touch with me. The design I sent off wouldn’t work as it was low resolution, and I figured I’d just have to pick something new.. but no. Jade designed the whole thing for me using my original image. She re-did the font and graphics, recommended colours that would work better and really make it all pop.

How amazing is that? She sent it over as a PDF for me to approve the final design before it was printed. I truly loved being part of the design process.

And while this is a review and some of you might be thinking I was offered this purely because it’s a review, I can assure you it’s not, it’s an actual service they off to help you get the exact business card you’re after and you’ll want to hand out. After finalising and printing my design, my cards were delivered promptly and arrived in a plastic box to keep them safe and together.

My Final Thoughts

Over all, I cannot express enough how much I love my business card. The design is gorgeous, they feel and look professional but still show my quirky side and they were manufactured and delivered quickly even though I went through the whole design process. I would 100% recommend this company, they’re the best I’ve used and I’ve had a fair few business cards over the years from various places.

My job is mainly online and digital, so a business card might seem a bit redundant to some people, but I can honestly assure you it’s not. If someone has a physical, well designed reminder of where to find you, they’re more likely to go looking. And now I can 100% say I am proud of the card I have at hand, thanks to Aura Print.
