Looking Back on January 2016
So, January is over! Hooray! I’m fairly sure I’m not the only one who feels this way? January is without a doubt the worst month of the year. I just find it mentally draining, and my anxiety is always at it’s worse because I suffer badly from the fear of the unknown (I even hate surprises), the whole year is terrifying to me.. this month I explored it all in more details in my post called “On Why I Really Hate January” the feedback from it really helped me. It’s always nice to know I’m not alone.
At the beginning of the month my blog had a complete make over and I embraced a more Disney, Travel and Parenting direction. Along with that, I decided to make some new blogging resolutions and I launched a giveaway too that ended last night (the winner will be contacted directly). I also decided to set myself some life goals as well. As far as the goals are concerned, I’ve lost 4lbs this month, I saved a decent amount of money.. I’m still not great at looking after myself or the house but I did manage to visit the cinema twice, once to see Star Wars The Force Awakens with my little sister, and the second time I took Little Miss to see The Good Dinosaur. I have found it really hard to be an adult in January, so I also posted about some of the other adult things I’m not ready for yet.
This month Little Miss turned FOUR! Even though it was a few days ago now, I still don’t feel like I’ve recovered from the stress of it all! Before the big day I blogged about how I was feeling about her saying goodbye to three. I also looked back on all the things that happened during that year. I was definitely overwhelmed by it all. Little Miss also had some fun cosplaying as Merida, she looked completely adorable in my opinion, shame it’ll be far too hot in March for her to wear the wig at Walt Disney World.
I have really enjoyed embracing my Disney side on the blog, it really is the one thing I enjoy writing about and I wish someone would pay me to do it all the time.
I also had a lot of fun writing about Disney theme parks this month. As I have only been to Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World they were my main focuses and I’m trying to alternate between the two. January posts for Disneyland Paris include; a close up look at Disney Magic on Parade, the main parade at the park. I also reviewed Auberge de Cendrillon, the princess Character dining experience situated behind Sleeping Beauty castle. And my posts about Walt Disney World include; Little Miss’ favourite character dining experiences from 2015, I got her to tell me about her 4 favourite places to eat in Walt Disney World as they were all for her benefit. I also shared my 10 must dos at Animal Kingdom, 5 fast pass, and 5 non-fast pass.
I’m hoping the next two months are going to be some of the best of our life. We have a trip to Disneyland Paris next week, followed by a visit to my best friends during half term and then of course March is all about Mothers Day, my birthday and 4 weeks in our favourite place with some magical people. Lets hope everything in between is bearable!

Your daughter looks adorable in that Merida costume! I completely agree about January, now that it’s out of the way the year can properly get started.
