In my Technical Challenge for Cake That! I came runner up. Since that was probably the best cake I’ve ever made, I knew I had to up my game for the showstopper. I came up with loads of different ideas, using various techniques, colours, tastes and layers but I wanted something that would show some more skill which is why I’ve gone for this cake. So this is the second cake I’ve baked this week. Both I’ve been incredibly proud of, one was a 7 layer rainbow cake with chocolate icing for my nephew’s third birthday, it was a huge success however that’s not the cake I’m sharing today. Currently in the US, I’ll just be checking in for my flight home *sob* so as you’ve probably guessed, this is a scheduled post I prepared before I left.
