Where Amy Ate – Ask Italian, Grey’s Quarter Newcastle
During out trip to Newcastle this week to attend the Quentin Blake exhibition at the Laing Art Gallery, my mum kindly gifted us some Tesco Clubcard vouchers to have lunch. I chose Ask Italian as during our last school holiday excursion for the Bones exhibit at the Great North Museum we’d walked through the newly refurbished Grey’s Quarter and the restaurant front caught my eye. I’ve worked with Ask Italian before as a blogger when we hosted the Lincs Blog Meet at their restaurant in Lincoln, they were wonderful and the food was delicious. I guess because I had such a good experience I expected the same again and that…

Days Out in England – KidZania, London
Since we have no big holiday booked this year I’m trying to make 2017 the year of mini adventures. So far we’ve been to Disneyland Paris and last month we went to visit my best friend Bee which included a trip to the cinema to see Beauty and the Beast. I know for a lot of people that isn’t really an adventure but our local cinema isn’t even SHOWING the movie yet so for us going to a cinema to see a newly released movie is a big adventure. This past weekend we ventured to London for the first time (the only time LM has ever been to London is…

Why Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Rekindled my Love for the Wizarding World
Imagine, a little 10 year old Hermione Granger type, stepping into her school library looking for a way to avoid going outside during break time. She goes to the new releases and picks up a shiny new copy of a book that would probably change her life; Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. She sits down and starts to read. She was transported into this new world, a world of magic (and lets face it, as a kid already into Disney she was open to this sort of thing) and she was lost. Obviously it was me. I anticipated every book release, the later ones I was there to pick…

Jakks Pacific Beauty and the Beast Range Review
Friday 17th March will finally see Disney’s live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. This is probably the most anticipated movie of the year (until Star Wars anyway). And although I have my thoughts about the casting, I am excited to finally see it. But not as excited as Little Miss, who is pretty much counting down the days until she can finally see it. She squeals with excitement when it comes on the TV. She walks around singing the songs from the animated classic, her art work is all Beauty and the Beast inspired, it’s consuming her life at the moment. Belle is now her favourite princess, she…

L’Oreal Color Riche Beauty and the Beast Lipstick in Belle Review
February was a pretty bad month for me, I was ill and I was struggling mental health wise. Like most girls, my go to to help me feel better is the 21st century mantra of “treat yo self!” I decided to take the plunge and order one of the limited edition Beauty and the Beast lipsticks by L’Oreal. As the range is only available in Italy it required making an order on Amazon.it (the Italian Amazon website) and although it felt so daunting at first it was much easier than I imagined. Once I’d downloaded Chrome with it’s built in translator (this probably won’t end well as I can now…

Days Out in England – Bones Exhibition at The Great North Museum
Yesterday we continued our trend of having a day away during the school holidays. During Christmas we ventured up to Edinburgh to enjoy the Christmas Market, so this time we headed south and went to Newcastle. Since our #littlediscoveries adventure last year we discovered some great new places including The Great North Museum that Little Miss really enjoyed and when I heard they had a new exhibition on I decided we should go during half term. I asked my mum if she wanted to come with my nephew as he’s really into bones and even wanted to be an archaeologist at one point! So we booked trains and exchanged some…
