    September 9, 2015 /

We all love cocktails, and what better way to evoke memories of holidays and sipping cocktails by the pool than making your own cocktails? Making cocktails does not have to be difficult, and despite what you might think, it need not require an extensive list of expensive ingredients. You can make sophisticated cocktails at home and surprise your friends and guests. When planning a cocktail party, the important thing to remember is to plan ahead so that you have all the ingredients you need for your cocktails. Make sure that you have all the accessories that you require such as plenty of ice and garnishes. Try creating cocktails with some…

    A Visit to Lapland*

    September 4, 2015 /

Recently on Facebook one of my friends asked what age you think it appropriate to take a child to visit Santa Claus in Lapland. For me, it’s very like a Disney holiday as it’s taking your child to see a fictional character they either believe to be real or not. At the moment, LM see’s all Disney characters as the real deal, and I feel if I invested in taking her to see Santa Claus in Lapland she’d feel the same way. Of course, like with a lot of things I read on the internet it got me thinking about the possibility in taking Little Miss on a truly Christmassy…

Walt Disney World April 2015, Day 9 – Ohana & Magic Kingdom

    September 3, 2015 /

As you might have guessed, I’m desperately trying to get the last few days from our April trip on the blog before I head off on another one (and then DLP straight after that). I’m now up to our last full day at Walt Disney World where we opted just to spend the day at Magic Kingdom, that was after breakfast at the breathtaking Polynesian Resort. Here is what we got up to, again, it’s photo heavy! We really slept in on our last day due to the fact we had 8am breakfast reservations and we’d been out until after midnight the night before but my whole approach to the…

    Little Miss Cosplays, Part Three

    September 2, 2015 /

Today I’m sharing another three of Little Miss’ Cosplays that she’ll be wearing to either Walt Disney World this month or Disneyland Paris next month. It’s getting harder and harder to pick just a few photos from each mini shoot, she seems to be getting more and more into it. Especially if there are props involved. I’d say so far, Alice and Belle have been her two favourite to photograph because of the vast array of props! I’m so glad I started photographing her outfits because I’ve been setting up play dates while we’re over there with Disney mum’s, so our kids will be coordinating! Plus, she’s growing like a…

Signs Your Body Is Getting Older, And What You Can Do About It*

    September 2, 2015 /

I’m well aware that the big three-oh will creep up on me suddenly when I’m not expecting it. But the signs that I’ve passed the prime of twenty-one might already be creeping in. Today, it’s the odd grey hair. But tomorrow, it may be a wrinkle, an achy joint, or even thinning hair. Having a young child around certainly keeps me young in spirit so I’m not ready to let my body let me down. There are many signs of ageing that can present themselves before you hit thirty. Odd grey hairs can start from any age after twenty-one. I’m not sure I would want to be pulling hairs out…
