Baiji Tea Review

Being a woman in 2022 often feels like a tall order. We’re not long coming out the other side of a pandemic. With the looming reminder there could be a resurgence even though we’re all just starting to put our lives back together. We are working, running a home, balancing money and keeping kids alive on a daily basis. And many of us are only just addressing the generational trauma us millennials all grew up with. So it’s not all that surprising that sometimes we do feel like we’ve reached breaking point. But to avoid that happening on a regular basis, we need to be finding ways to give us a little breathing room.

And that’s why every day I like to sit down in the quiet and have a cup of tea, and not just any tea, but some of my Baiji Green Tea.

About Baiji

I love the fact that the name Baiji comes from the Chinese characters 白記 which are taken to mean “blank diary”. How poetic is that? And that is exactly how I view the time I take for my Baiji moment every day. A new page to collect my thoughts and take a breath before continuing my daily grind. Baiji want to deliver high-quality products to you, to help over come life problems we face as women. Such as anxiety, fatigue, period pain, digestive issues and more. There are currently three different loose leaf teas on off for you to buy;

  • Revive – Green Tea
  • Relieve – Raspberry Leaf Tea
  • Relax – Chamomile Tea

As you all know I suffer from anxiety and burn out so I’ve been trying and thoroughly enjoying Revive, Baiji’s Green Tea.

What’s the Green Tea

I’m actually a long standing green tea fan. I usually drink it with a spoonful of honey. I think green tea has a lot of benefits so I was excited to try this loose tea from Baiji. There isn’t a lot to this green tea, being simply made up of Huangshan Maofeng green tea leaves, ginger and mango. I usually go for green tea with a peach base, so I was interested to see how the mango measured up.

The smell is amazing, even through the silver cap that keeps it fresh. I love that it comes with a reusable teabag. I can only say my one struggle with this tea was the long Huangshan Maofeng leaves. They didn’t fit into my tea diffuser and were fiddly to get into the bag, but after a few times I did get the hang of it.

I usually sit down with my cup of Baiji tea in the middle of the afternoon. This is when my energy is starting to wane after my early start for the school run. Having started the day with coffee, I need a more natural lift in the afternoon so I can still sleep at night. It’s made from a high grade Chinese tea found in the yellow Mountain region. It claims to energise your spirit and revitalise your sense using naturally occurring caffeine and tannins. The ginger relieves stress, nausea and even lowers blood pressure. This should calm you during a stressful day. And the mango adds a fruity and sweet flavour.

Trying Revive Baiji Tea

Following the instructions I brew my tea, add a spoonful of honey then settle down to drink. The warming aroma is perfect this time of year when it’s cold and dark. But I imagine it would taste just as nice over ice during the summer. While some people find green tea quiet bitter, with the honey and the mango complimenting it well it makes for very enjoyable hot drink.

While I can’t tell for sure if it’s the tea or the fact I’m just mentally having a time out that leaves me feeling refreshed, I do feel better for that half an hour to myself. I love the taste and I enjoy knowing the benefits that I am receiving from drinking green tea. After i’m done, I’m ready to face the rest of my day.

Baiji tea would make an excellent gift for your girl friends this winter. Along with a pretty mug and some cozy socks you can encourage them to take some time for some well earned self care!
