Why You Should Invest in Some Noise Cancelling Ear Buds from Anker*

I received these earbuds in return for an honest review.

For myself, like many people, music is not just something you listen to drown out your thoughts or the world around you, it’s a way of life. For me, music expresses emotion and how I’m feeling. Yes, I was that person who changed the song lyrics in her MSN name to reflect on how I felt during my angsty teen years. An ex and I kept a notebook where we took it in turns to write song lyrics we heard that reminded us of one another, and he even made me my own special playlist and named it Sunflower (as that’s my favourite flower). Certain songs trigger memories of times gone by, albums remind me people and places, music is a part of my life and even now I know exactly what songs make me happy, or sad, make me feel empowered or inspire me. So it’s not surprised having a good pair of earbuds for when I’m out walking is an essential part of my life.

I’ve been giving the Soundcore Life P3 wireless earbuds* a go the last few weeks, and I have to say I’m really impressed. While these were gifted to me for review purposes, I actually bought these ones for my Dad on his birthday and he loves them too. He had been looking at buying some earbuds after seeing me with my old pair and I thought these ones looked great. He needs noise cancelling because he uses them to watch the football on his tablet while the family are about and these ones really fit the bill. Of course I thought he was just being nice as it was a gift from his daughter, but after trialing them myself, I think he might just be right.

The Soundcore Life P3 wireless earbuds by Anker are great value for money earphones that let you listen to your device, wire free using bluetooth technology. They one of the must have gadgets and I have to admit it took me a while to get on the bandwagon, but once I was there, there was no going back. What put me off initially is the fact that a lot of earbuds look quite chunky, and as I have ears on the smaller side, I was worried I’d not be able to keep them in, then they’d fall out and I’d loose them. But what I like about the Soundcore Life earbuds is the fact they’re not at all chunky and fit in my ears perfectly. The long stem almost holds them in place while I’m on the move so I don’t have a fear of losing them. They come with a variety of tips as well, to ensure you get a good fot. While they come in multiple colours, I went for black as it’s inoffensive and looks smart (I was obviously thinking of the professional zoom calls I still jump in on now and then!) Their charging case is small and slips easy into my pocket which is great because it means I don’t always have to have my bag with me. Apparently the case also charges on a charging mat? I haven’t tried this yet but as I’ve got my daughter one from Typo for Christmas, I’ll be giving it a go.

Now that i’ve covered the aesthetics, lets have a look at usability. As I mentioned above, the ear buds fit safely and perfectly in my ear which means I am enjoying their full noise cancelling potential. Due to the fact they’re so good at noise cancelling, it means they work really well for calls, both video and voice. I have used them with my phone and my macbook on a zoom call for work. They’re super easy to sync up via the bluetooth and when in range and out of the charging pod, they automatically sync which is great if you’re on the go with limited hands.

I have to admit, I think what I love the most about these particular headphones is the Soundcore app, it’s what really sets them apart from the rest because you can completely customise your listening experience. I like how you’re able to create a white noise playlist as it were to help you sleep and it’s great for keeping the earbuds updated for a smooth listening experience. And if you’re worried about the battery going during the night, there is no need to as they boast a 35 hour playback time, and I can confirm they definitely will help you get a solid 8 hours sleep if you are like me and need some white noise!

Over all, I’m impressed and if you’re looking for a Christmas gift idea this year for the person who has everything, I cannot recommend wireless earphones enough, but in particular, these Soundcore Life P3 buds which are available on Amazon. They’re currently on offer too, so worth starting your Christmas shopping for!
