Walt Disney World April 2015, Day 7 – Magic Kingdom
I’ve taken a little bit of a break from my holiday diary as none of my readers seemed to be finding them of interest. But as I really want to have a reminder of what we got up to, I’m going to continue. Day 7, only three to go. We spent all of our 7th day in our favourite park, Magic Kingdom. I have to admit that the Sunday signaled the beginning of 4 very magical days. I mean our whole holiday was magical but by the Sunday, we really were rolling in pixie dust!
Here’s what we got up to;
We started the morning at Be Our Guest for breakfast with Bee and her family. Dining in the Beast’s Castle was a wonderful experience but for what it was, it was over priced since it wasn’t even table service. I paid $12 for a bowl of cereal for LM.. She ate the lot thankfully. After breakfast LM wanted to go on some rides so we hit up the teacups (yeah, I know.. right after breakfast), Dumbo and the Barnstormer before queuing to meet the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Despite it being an obscure sort of meet, it ended up being one of my favourites because Little Miss introduced him to Miss Mouse. After that we walked to the Hub to meet up with Emily, her husband and D again only to find Mellie and her brother were also there waiting on us which was a lovely surprise. We watched Move It Shake It and let the kids run around while we all enjoyed Starbucks. After a while Emily, Iain & I took the girls up The Swiss Family Robinson Tree House before using a fastpass on Aladdin’s Flying Carpets. Then finally it was time to go meet Peter Pan. LM was so excited, she was dressed as Wendy and D was dressed as Tinkerbell which made for some gorgeous photos. Afterwards we walked down past where Tiana was meeting and ended up being so lucky to catch her on her way to check her Gumbo which meant massive hugs for the girls and a little more time with her than we probably would have normally got. When Tiana left we went to meet another family who also have a girl LM’s age and we wanted them to meet and we all did the Tikki Room together. Then it was back to meet Tiana properly before using a Fast Pass to see Tinkerbell.
At this point, it was time to say goodbye to Emily, Iain and D. Which was rather heartbreaking. The girls had got on so well that splitting them up was horrible. Since coming home LM has referred often to D “As my friend in Disney Daphne” and D has asked to see LM. Their reunion in September is going to be the most spectacular thing ever! They headed home and LM set up camp with Mellie, Benji, Mikayla and some other friends to watch Festival of Fantasy. After FoF, LM wanted to see Peter Pan again so we headed that way before nipping back to the hotel for a nap and change of clothes before dinner at Be Our Guest again. Dinner was absolutely delicious, I splashed out on Steak and LM ate practically all my fries. It was my favourite sit down meal food wise, and afterwards LM was brave enough to go and meet the Beast, this girl has no fear!
Since LM had a nap, we continued with our evening smoothly. After dinner we rode the carousel, then used a fastpass to meet Anna & Elsa for the very first time. Elsa and LM compared capes and Anna was adorable. Afterwards I received a message from Mellie to say she had FPs to see Cinderella and Rapunzel so we popped next door to see them, and it was so magical! LM got to twirl with Cinderella, then play with Rapunzel before she was blessed enough to have her photo taken with both! It had been raining on and off all evening but we still wanted to catch the Main Street Electric Parade, however due to the weather they had sent it off early and we missed it! Mellie and Benji called it a night but LM and I were wide awake so we headed over to Pete’s Silly Sideshow to try and catch Minnie and Daisy, which we did. Then we rushed around to see Goofy and Donald again because there was no queue. By the time we got out it was pouring with rain so we stated to make our way to the exit, however passing the Town Hall I saw it was only a 5 minute wait to see Mickey which we couldn’t pass up. Mickey in the Town Hall talks, and although I could tell by the look on LM’s face that she wasn’t keen she claims she liked it and she was happy to play bouncing with him and to kiss him. So I’ll take that as a success. While waiting on the bus we managed to catch Wishes which was the perfect end to a truly magical night.

LM’s smile in the photo with Anna is just pure magic! Seeing your photos and hearing about your adventures in Disney World make me want to forget all about my exams and instead take the first flight to Florida to experience the magic. Of course, that is not possible but a girl can dream.

I have enjoyed reading your posts – and certainly given me a lot to think about, mainly because I desperately want to go and when we manage it I will find your posts very useful. Having never been to DW I don’t really know the craic – so I have certainly learnt a few things from your posts!

I’m reading these blog posts too (but I’m usually rubbish at commenting!) – they’re keeping me eager for when I go (not that it takes a lot to be eager about going to Florida!) 😉 x
