Beauty Content // Beauty Tricks To Take To Bed With You*
One of the hardest things to stick to as a busy woman is routine. Routine dictates so much of our time at work and with the family, that personal routines can be the one thing we rebel against. It’s not that we don’t want to stick to braiding our hair before bed, it’s just that skipping a couple of things means longer sleep. Your beauty routine should be a habit and if it isn’t it’s time to make it one.
Getting ready for bed is the time of day we unwind and relax, ready for a full night’s sleep for the grind the next day. Make-up
Psst! Leaving make-up on overnight ages your skin prematurely. It’s a tedious job, but removing make-up should be done before bedtime every night. That means all of it! Leftover mascara can leave your eyes full of gunk in the morning and if you leave your war paint caked on, you’re blocking your pores and not allowing them to breathe. Hello, spots! Even if you’ve had a hard night out, grab the wipes and give your face a scrub before bedtime to make sure that you go to sleep fresh-faced for the morning.
Skincare
Your skin is the one thing everyone sees, especially on your face. It can really affect your self-confidence if you have blemishes and acne. The key? Looking after your skin. Humidifiers, sensitive soaps and a solid moisturising routine are all needed for soft, beautiful, blemish-free skin. Of course, you should make sure you use organic skin care products that are kind to the face and are nutrient-rich. Adding in a facemask before bed wouldn’t hurt either, as you can reduce any puffiness there too.
Hair
Your hair is full of natural oils and dirt, no matter how much you wash it, and these oils can make your face breakout if you aren’t careful. By plaiting your hair at bedtime and keeping it off your face, you can make sure you’re not effectively sleeping in your own oils at bedtime. Your skin matters and pinning your hair back is a way you can keep your skin clear at bed time.
No one likes spending tons of time applying creams, but getting that full eight hours of sleep a night can do wonders for your complexion in the morning. Learn what makes your skin sing and you will be glowing every day.
